I guess it could be luck of the draw. I’ve had the KO red one and that one was definitely heavier than a real HT metal shield, but the blue one I got recently is basically the same weight of the official HT one.

eBay is where I got mine. It's one of the ones with the elastic on the back though like the image posted above. If you're looking for one that's closer to the HT shield, unfortunately the only ones were made by By-Art and were released a couple years ago. I'm surprised they don't keep them on rotation as that is a hot item I would imagine.

This is the one I bought. Just pick Blue for the color in the dropdown. Took about a week before they shipped it, then another 2 weeks for delivery.

Would appreciate a follow up for the quality if you have the time. Thanks for posting the link dude!

No problem. I think it’s nice enough for the price and it’s the only one available right now. I think the By-Art ones were in the $50 range, though they were painted better and had the straps that mimicked the early HT straps.

The recessed/engraved line work details that make up the star and rings aren’t as fine as the HT. These KO shields have deeper and ever so slightly wider line work on them vs the real HT shields. Paint is also a bit fainter, and has a smooth gloss clear coat on the blue rings vs the matter metallic, texture finish that the metal HT ones have.

What I’ve done is removed all the black elastic and replaced with leather straps to give it a bit more of an official look and it helps the figure hold it on his arm/hand better.

Wow! Thanks for the review dude. It definitely looks good for that price. Did the original have a metal shield or plastic one? I heard of metal shields flaking after a while if you weren't careful. Maybe some third party will come out with some more shields if the demand keeps up.

Yes, the original Stealth suit had a real metal shield as well. I have all the official HT metal shields except for AoU Cap and haven’t had an issue with flaking. The only ones that flaked badly was really The First Avenger electroplated plastic shield. I think original Avengers Cap clean shield was the same as TFA Cap, though the Avengers one came with a second battle damage shield so you at least had a back up.

I’ve got the metal Civil War (clean), Golden Age, Stealth Suit blue shield and the worn Steve Rogers shield from the Winter Soldier two pack. I also have a battle damaged By-Art metal red shield. All are fine, with no chipping. My KO red shield like the one in question also hasn’t had any chipping. Though, of course, it depends on how you handle them.

But I agree, I hope By-Art or some other company makes some good KOs, metal or plastic that are closer match to the officials with proper painting and straps

HE'S HERE! THE SAGA IS OVER!!!

Couldn't wait until tonight so unboxed at my desk and had the OG 2-pack diecast shield waiting for him.
(I don't care what anyone says... the diecast Hot Toys shields were SO much better than the newer cheap plastic ones).

Will get a better pic once he is setup in the case tonight.

Overall, LOVE IT

Never really thought about this suit before, but I think it's my second favorite design after endgame cap.

This is the first time I've tried putting the shield on the back and damn this mechanism sucks. The shield sticks out and looks weird from the side. Wish the clip was angled and closer to the body or it was magnetized. Makes me wonder how the shield attaches on the actual suit.

I wish they used the concept cap body on it
The concept Cap body is really not that unique. It is very similar if not the exact same to the new ones that they have been using for Cap since Endgame/IW. It's the unique tailoring and material of that concept suit that makes the proportions so good. This definitely can be much better with some body mods of course just like all the other Cap figures.

Exactly this. The concept Cap body is the same body they’ve been using for IW, Engame and 2012 Cap, with the exception of the arms being from Darth Vader/MoS Superman. While it will fill out the sleeves more, it won’t do anything for the traps. The traps showing on the concept suit were purely due to the tailoring as you said.
