Toys Era Baron Zemo - The Aristocrat

I like to keep things Phase I-III, so BZ had to go Siberian.

Ok,

So my Aristocrat figure arrived today from OSK!
Overall I have to say that I am very happy with him. The detail on the clothes and his gloves is impressive. I think the size of the figure is about where it should be. The body they used has pretty nice joints so those of you who do a lot of posing should be happy. That said I think the ankles are a bit more loose than I like.

The gun looks better than in the prototype photos, but I will still probably swap it out for a silver Desert Eagle. And I wish that his “mask” went down further on his neck and met the collar because I definitely will display mine with the mask on (I do that with all my figs).

I will post some quick iphone photos of him by himself and a few of him next to my slightly modified Endgame Captain America for perspective. I look forward to hearing your thoughts …

Like what I see enough to put an order in. Bruhl is awesome and IMO pretty much a scene stealer in TFWS. To me the sculpt is pretty good, and the outfit looks great. I can always pick up weapons or other accessories somewhere. The book helps make it, too.

Am gonna put him with my CW group. Thanx for putting the pics up!

Lol if only someone would make his valet. I didn't like a lot about TFWS but that last scene with the valet was awesome. I'd hope Zemo would show up in upcoming Thunderbolts but with Disney cutting corners over their stock price I don't trust anything they say they plan to do. Besides figure delays and prices going up so much.

Yeah I think a wait and see approach is definitely best with Disney. That said, if they do make Thunderbolts, there is no way Zemo isn’t a part of that.

It's not that. My Phase I-III limit keeps my Hot Toys collection from becoming a Hot Toys pile

They haven't said yet, tho supposedly a "bomb will be dropped on the Marvel cinematic universe" (Thunderbolts Will 'Drop a Bomb' on the Marvel Cinematic Universe - IGN). Whatever that means - whether it means Evans changed his mind and will pop back into the MCU, or mutants, or....

I'm more interested in a "rag tag" Expendables group getting together. This could be a lot of fun/action, if, once again, the script isn't another lame effort and leaden lecturing. I wish Disney/MCU would notice that "side" characters, who seem to have more "script freedom" keep running away with the films and shows, while the main characters get nerfed/bogged down. And I say this as a huge fan of Winter Soldier and Falcon, but not in the last outing which didn't make use of the best of those characters IMO.

Oooh I think you make a good point - at what point does a collection turn into a big messy conglomeration of endless seas of figures/statues But yeah as you mention, it helps to keep focus on your vision of your collection!

I look around at what I've accumulated and it's kind of horrifying, really. But I can't think about that right now, I have to make sure I catch the UPS guy dropping off my new SW fig (a second Tusken 'coz it was a heck of a deal, so that makes it OK).

Haahahah too true! Gotta focus on the next figure coming! No shame in getting figs on great deals

Won't have time to get some pics up yet - maybe the weekend, but got this figure in and IMO pretty awesome, especially if you like detail. IMO the clothes especially the coat are little works of art, very fine tailoring kinda mind boggling. The included book has little images, sketch of the WS arm, in miniature.

And I am very happy with sculpt and body. Maybe HT could've done finer paint work at their best, but there's shading here, accurate features - IMO really, really good. Was a bit futzed about the pistol grip hand being on the left, but after rewatching a couple of scenes - dunno if Bruhl is left handed, but he's shooting from the left hand on film. If I had to nitpick, not sure the gold pistol is really something I'd associate with Zemo, but whatever. Body feels strong; ratcheted joints. Think I just became a Toys Era fan - good purchase for me, IMO Bruhl is awesome. Suppose the biggest nitpick would be wanting a cloth mask, but again, whatever, since a second sculpt is included.

Better to have him in hand; he made TFAWS bearable. I'd buy him again if Zemo shows up in the Thunderbolts and HT releases Zemo in 2053 for 869$

Like I don't know how you could mess up characters like Zemo (assuming he's there he needs to be); Bucky, and Yelena but have no doubt Marvel writers can manage it.....
