Tonight at Henry Cavill’s interview with Josh Horowitz Zack appeared via a film clip and he said to Henry “And I can’t wait to work with you in the future.”

Wow !! Cavill must really love Zack, besides being a great guy, he gave him his foot in the door to where he is now.

I'll stick to my thesis of Zack coming back to direct the crisis crossover event aka JL 2 + 3 in a couple of years after he's finished with Netflix. If he can direct MoS2 or a Batfleck movie somehow in between then that's just a bonus.

I know Zack Snyder has many fans, but i didn't enjoy a single one of Zack Snyder's DC Films. Especially i was bored to death at Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice's first half. WB really need to leave Zack Snyder as a thing of past, if you ask me. I especially believe WB already moved on from Zack Snyder's vision by the end credits scene in Black Adam. The right kind of hair, bright colors on the Costume and with the right kind of music theme for the certain hero.

Well everything points to the contrary. It looks like Zack is actually coming back and personally I am very happy about it. Look at the recent post by Zack and the interview with Henry.

By the way BvS I dont like it but I love his MOS and JL.

Hate Snyder all you want but I will truly never understand how any DC “fan” could dislike Justice League.
I believe you mean the Snyder Cut. Well, i haven't watched it yet... And i don't have the slightest earge to watch it. What can i say, i don't have much belief in Snyder.

How do you know Zach is coming back?

According to Mikey Sutton (and although no one in the scooper game is always right, I suspect he and Syl do actually have insider connections) Snyder is actually free to sign with WBD currently. Not to start work for WBD immediately—but he can sign for a contract that starts from whatever date to whatever date as long as it doesn’t conflict with any other contractual obligation. So he’s debunking that simply because Zack has a current contract with Netflix it prohibits him from signing a deal with another studio.

I have zero doubt that Snyder will be back to make more DC films at WBD.

The Rock is evidently not WBD’s savior, lol!

We’ll find out today the projected box office for weekend 2 of Black Adam. But Friday was a 72% dropoff from opening weekend. 😬 That does not bode well for the entire weekend, but we’ll see.

I saw a reddit post recently that compares the box office for each day thus far with three other movies within the last couple of years that also had $200M budgets… Thor: Love and Thunder was one of them, I think Multiverse of Madness as well… and Black Adam is making half what all those three other relatively recent films made. In order to make it’s money back (through just ticket sales alone) a film with a $200M budget (add an obligatory $100M for marketing) needs to make $600M because the movies theaters take about half of the box office sales. TL&T legged out at $760 so it made a profit but a modest one. BA’s China release is now confirmed for Nov. 11th, so that will probably get it to $600M. But it’s not going to be anything like a $1B blockbuster.

To be fair BA was made during the Emmerich/Hamada era. Although I don’t think it got nearly as extensive reshoots as the Flash and Aquaman 2 are reportedly getting.

Anyway, I think WBD is probably pleased to have Snyder back. Zaslav has the real numbers for how well ZSJL performed. There were some sad hit pieces about that in the trades as the old WB regime was in its death throes. But I suspect ZSJL was in fact extremely popular. Just looking at the WBD stock prices skyrocketing when ZSJL released until Ann Sarnoff threw cold water on that the following Monday with her open letter stating ZSJL was a “cul de sac“ that’s a powerful indicator as well.

Black Adam second weekend dropoff at a respectable 58.7%. But domestically still only took in $27.7M, only making about half of what MCU films also costing $200M made.

China ticket sales will help of course, where it opens Nov. 11th. But I’m thinking this movie is not going to do much better than break even. Which is fine because it will still make money from its other revenue streams. But not the gangbusters kind of hit that WB needs right now.

Didn’t expect this to do big numbers. It’ll probably be a hit soon on streaming
