I like the look of the clothing, just not the fit of the clothing. It's a sorta minor thing, but it's bothering me that the belt buckle looks like a generic square one from what we can see, rather than the D shape with engraving. The belt itself looks really nice, though.

Better pictures for sure, but still a WIP I hope. Compared to Joker, Gandalf and Batman, this is very doll-like. I don't like the "real strings" they used on every tie -- could it be waxed or something, just looks toyish as is. I also wish they'd ditch the wrap thing across his chest so I could see the layers of clothing better. Also don't like the double-layer of hair sculpt to access the rolling eyes but I guess you'll never really see it.

I'd be willing to lose the bedroll and that wrap thing and get Aragorn into a more action oriented pose.

Also would like to see the rooted version.
I could be wrong, but I believe that wrap is his black cloak that he wears at the Prancing Pony and pre-Moria/Lothorian wrapped around his body to carry it when he's not wearing it normally. I think Asmus included it in their original version, except it was just a black piece of cloth that didn't unfold to be the the black cloak. It would be cool if we got both cloaks with this InArt version.
None of these, even InArt, look like Viggo. The eyes on the InArt one is just way too big. The other sculpt by Chris, doesnt look like Viggo at all.
100% Agree. Not feeling any of these customs sculpts. I appreciate the work put into them, but I'm not seeing much Viggo in anything posted so far custom or otherwise.

The black wrap (although it's actually dark green) is indeed his poncho that he wears from Bree into Moria. It actually came with the exclusive Sideshow Strider from way back when so should definitely be included as a working accessory with this figure.

If IA continue to work on it , it could be great. If they call it now at just good enough- it’ll still be the best Aragorn out there- but nowhere near as accurate as the other figures we’ve seen.
That ‘Chris’ custom looks like a shocked Neanderthal. There’s simply no one that’s ever been able to capture Viggo’s likeness.
InArt have nailed every other sculpt judging from these recent pics we’ve seen so I’m giving them good odds on getting this even closer.

That custom looks like Frank Grillo to me.
I find it so interesting that sculptors find it hard to capture his likeness.
Maybe they should look at him from another movie in the 90’s with short hair and clean shaven to try capture his likeness.

I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt that this figure is in really early days. I'm surprised this one is even the next one they showed off, Legolas was the other one on their initial line announcement.

I think his best look is when he swaps the blue for a red shirt after leaving Edoras. His hair is also at its most glorious there.

We haven’t seen the Evenstar yet but it must surely be included if he has the gifts from Lothlorien and Boromir’s Vambraces.

I’m coming around to the sculpt more as time goes on but I would of course like to see them tweak little things like the size of the eyes and the lower lip.

Been playing with colours and brightness just to see how it impacts my impression.

There’s definitely a strong likeness just waiting for that final elusive tweak to unlock true Viggo-ness.

Slightly thicker mustache, slightly smaller and thinner eyes and this looks so great. No idea why people are freaking out.

While I don't personally understand the appeal, I guess I can see the whole anime thing getting people more emotionally invested.

Aragornsan-senpai chan looks completely fine to me, though.

I haven't read every comment on this thread but has anyone else noticed or feel concern about those (what appear to be) cracks down the neck? No idea how they've been transporting the figures or how the paint app was done for this... pre-prototype thing, but I hope whatever paint they're using isn't super brittle:

Not true... he doesn't wear that cloak wrapped up on his chest nor the bedmat on his back for most of the movies. The red shirt is better too.

The Ranger gear is fine.
True. but he still looks raggedy and homeless for the majority. I swear that dude doesn't take a shower until just before the battle at the Black Gate haha
