I mean… it’s been delay after delay seemingly. First way back in July. Then September was hinted at. Then it was going to be shipped and in hand by October. Now it’s November barring anymore unforeseen issues.
Ah guess I just haven't been paying enough attention. It feels like we've had a pretty steady stream of announcements and releases, so it doesn't jump out at me as much if something happens to get delayed.

Will this be an immediate release? I’m thinking this Amy be one of those production fillers Nanjin has mentioned in between the big guns.
Star Trek: Voyager Andorian Imperial Guard Commander Thy'lek Shran one sixth scale Museum Grade Figure will go on sale at 9 AM PST on Thursday, October 27th, 2022 at exo-6.com.

Delays are across the board.
I am a huge fan of Bob Dylan and his latest entry in the Bootleg Series was rumored to be announced in September with a November release. It has been delayed and not yet officially announced. The message boards are crazy bonkers with rumors and false information. Tempers are short and patience is running thin.
The big difference between Team Dylan and Exo-6 is Nanjin has been so forthcoming about the behind the scenes process and potential dates.
I am super excited to get this but also know there are so many behind the scenes challenges. Hang in there…Kirk is coming.
Yeah I would assume as 1/6 collectors we'd all be pretty used to delays by this point.

I think it’s because this information is coming from Nanjin who’s head of EXO-6, and so when things don’t pan out it sometimes comes across like he just says things. Maybe it would be better to not follow him anymore.

I’m curious about Shran. I’ll see how much he costs and to see more pictures.

Unfortunate to see him delayed again! I actually rewatched the TMP 4k release yesterday to get in the mood just in case he really was just around the corner!

Ah well - delays in 1/6 are nothing new - I've got some Big Chief figures fully paid for going on three years now - EXO-6 are still doing incredibly well, in my (admittedly subjective) opinion.

It just made me think : What if a particular actor sat on and then disapproved image multiple times ?

Well, there would be a lot of back and forth in development until the issues were addressed - I can imagine it could be quite frustrating, but it's just part of the process.

I worked on an actor likeness for a video game project and it went through months and months of tiny revisions until the talent were satisfied. And that didn't require hand-painting!

Yeah, I'm finding it harder to care anymore. I'm not even sure I want the Sisko I ordered. I'll pay the balance because I agreed to it, but it will probably go in the closet and never be opened.

If Wrath of Khan figures happen, I'll pick up Kirk and Spock, but Exo-6 is ignoring the heavy hitters for things like Enterprise and Voyager just has sucked all the fun out of it for me.

I don't get it. I really don't.

I waited over TWO YEARS for Hot Toys and their bloody Pennywise figure.
Of my current orders: Two Moducase displays, ordered on May 27, due in August, delayed until...maybe November? Not sure.
Scarlet Witch (Wandavision) - Order March 2021. Will maybe arrive now in December. Barring any more delays.
Ahsoka Tano, Ordered March 2021, maybe arrive in December barring any more delays.
Patrick Bateman (Iconiq Studios), ordered June 2021, now scheduled for MAYBE February 2023.
Dexter Morgan (Flashback Figures), ordered July 2021, now will arrive MAYBE June 2023.
The USS Cerritos from Eaglemoss? Who the hell even knows IF it will arrive, let alone WHEN.

Meanwhile, since February of 2021, Exo-6 has put out how many figures so far? 10 that have shipped, right? And another, what, 6 for preorder (Counting Shran). And you're upset because a very niche part of that series that hasn't even been put up for order yet is taking longer to arrive than you expected?
You'll get TMP Kirk probably WAY before I get Dexter Morgan or Patrick Bateman.
Jeez, no wonder Nanjin doesn't post here anymore.

I don't get the concern or complaints about "delays".

Each to their own - but I'm more worried about getting confirmation the characters I want are actually getting made, rather than when they may get delivered

.
I mean there is that aspect too. I’d love to actually get a pre-order for one main crew member from TOS or TNG character by the end of the year.

To me the delay with the TMP figures is just kinda irritating at this point when they’ve been touted as coming soon (literally just last week it was supposedly the packaging was the last thing to finalize and Kirk would be up this week).

TMP Kirk will go up for sale when he goes up for sale. What difference does it make if it is today or a couple of weeks from now. We know the figures have been made already and they are being issued more or less as soon as the orders go in. If Nanjin needs a bit of extra time to finalise something then he needs the time, I'm sure it's so much more frustrating for him than us (especially when we haven't put any money down for this yet). Some silly posts here and on his personal facebook page. As others have said just look at what he has delivered already, what is on pre-order and how long these figures take from pre-order to delivery. Cast your mind back to the dark times of QMX, took years to get a handful of figures (and my Scotty and Sulu orders were never even fulfilled). We are so fortunate in this fandom to have someone as passionate and transparent as Nanjin at the helm, I wish there was a Nanjin equivalent handling Bond.

That's 4 months. That's not really much of a delay. You just want Ceti Alpha V on a stick.

It's really not about The Motion Picture Kirk.

Nanjin has repeated stated that QMX killed the market for original Star Trek and Next Generation. That with showing a large number of figures from both in March that haven't been released or even up for pre-order, but keeps pulling out Voyager figures and Now Enterprise.

Nanjin also kept stating that Star Trek is unsustainable. That mixed with the Discovery figures that he claimed were a very small number and would sell out right away, (they are still available, months later) makes me worry that the figures aren't doing that well. Also, the only figure that you can't get from their website is First Contact Picard. Again, this makes me worry how much longer they'll be around.

Hot Toys has a bunch of bigger licenses and aren't likely to go away, but I'm not sure how well Exo-6 is doing. I hope these fears are completely unfounded and they are doing great.

Star Trek fans got their hopes up before with QMX to be let down. So being gun shy with trusting a company with the license is understandable.

I'm rooting for Exo-6, but am getting concerned.

You can't please all of the people all of the time.

Again though the main reason for my frustration with TMP Kirk in particular is because of information from Nanjin himself.

Don’t repeatedly say something if you’re not actually able to actually follow through. Don’t say anything until it’s finalized.

I understand there are delays. I’ve been collecting quite a while so it’s not like I’m new, it’s the expectation being set by the head of the company.
