Forgive the crudity of this, but i copied the new head onto the old one in that image and cycled between them. It is 100% the same sculpt(Which was perfect in my eyes), and has some extra sculpting going on with the hair, fractionally lower ears(Could be the camera angle), and the noodle hairs. Just keep an eye on the left, EG one, as i switch the layers.
Like i say, sorry about the crudity of this:

Yep, thanks for confirming. I don’t know why the new paint makes her look weird in some photos and videos, while in others it seems she would look fine in person.

Another video review. I think she looks pretty good here, too.

Gotta say based on all the photos and videos I've seen, this looks like it'll be my favorite Black Widow figure. This is not only my favorite BW suit, but it looks translated well into figure form. On a similar tangent, I still haven't opened up my EG Black Widow figure so I haven't seen any BW figures in person technically 😆

They used wrist joints on the ankles instead of proper ball joints so it's a little more work than should be necessary to get her standing on her own, but other than that I'm very satisfied with this figure.

I caught that in the review videos - very bizarre choice especially considering they used fleshtone ones which are visible in extreme poses.

anyone with experience think there could be a reasonable way to replace those joints with a more typical black ankle peg?

Possibly. Haven’t got it yet so don’t know the size but you could buy spare ankle pegs and file them down to fit in what is presumably a smaller wrist peg size socket on the leg and/or feet.

Typically weird thing for HT to do.

is the belt supposed to be higher on one side?
Yep.

She can't hold those batons very well either. They fall out of her hand pretty easily. Another point of frustration regarding the feet. It seems that the boots are pegged in so that when neutral both pegs on the joint are on opposite ends. Not angled so that the foot can pivot without having to turn the entire ankle joint so that the foot is going in and out instead of up and down.

I could be wrong here, because I'm not willing to pop the feet off to check, but it sure feels that way.

I popped her feet off to remove clear plastic…..the peg that goes into the foot seemed really long. Usually dont take off feet but did this time so might be normal dunno

It’s b/c the feet are on a large, wrist joint style peg instead of the traditional barbell ball joint so you don’t get the same range of motion. They do this for Vader as well for whatever reason. I really don’t like those types of ankle joints. Sideshow did that for awhile with their prometheus bodies

I don't have an issue with these types of joints on Mafex figures for example. I just don't think they're placing the peg in the foot in the correct spot to allow for pivot without rotating the whole joint.

Not much love for this, technically the final version of Natasha/ScarJo Black Widow? (The white suit appeared earlier on screen)

The next real HT Black Widow we will get will be Yelena as BW from Thunderbolts…

(Unless HT release an updated IM2 BW…)

Am not a fan of sculpted hair on Widow or SW; I've got Ultron, TWS, CW, IW....dunno if there's a re-release I'd go for it. Mostly for the MCU I'll probably wait to see what they do with Thunderbolts which will all release in 2043.

Part of me wants to order one of these Widows, thanks to the sculpt; but I'm happy with my current Widows. If there was an awesome deal on the white I might bite.
