I think a lot of negative comment come from people that after the video of the production sample of joker have realized they have to repleace every hot toys action figure with the inart version

Maybe they're an exception, like "inflammable"!
Inflammable still means the opposite of flammable.
It's only a shift in perception that differs as the concept of inflammable items is typically viewed as a good thing.
So 'art' would have to conjure primarily negative connotations for InArt to mean something positive.

If anything, they should lean into the art angle as hard as possible. I'm sure there's some way to get tax deductions on bonafied art sales/purchases...

I think you might be over thinking that...... :p

“If I were to design a figure, I would make it a statue… with moving fingers”

If I were working in the design position and it came to designing a 1/6 female body where more of the characters skin is exposed. Firstly, the head, neck and torso would be one entire piece. It might limit painting and removal of the hs but it will have a seamless realistic look. An inner moveable skeleton body made of a combination of metal and strong plastic. No interchangeable hands but moving individual fingers as well as the palm can squeeze and hold items. Hairspray the F out of the rooted hair so it's frozen and can hardly move. One problem I imagine with this is, design, producing and manufacturing cost versus PO asking price.

QUEEN STUDIOS x INART ENCORE EVENT IN BANGKOK

Following the successful [AHEM!] event in Las Vegas, the team will fly to Thailand for another Fan Event. At the event, we will bring even more new collectibles and figures. The Thailand fan event will be held on 26th Oct at The Tall Trees, Bangkok.

If you can’t go to the event, don’t worry, the QS, INART Team and collectors will be sharing on-site images and videos.

*The "Ahem" is mine, of course.

I was excited to see that there'll be an showcase here in BKK and that I would see all the figures before the release.

Then I saw the venue... Yeah, I'll just look at the pics online like everyone else.
(it's outskirt of Bkk, where a local collector has a garden studio, display showcase, cafe).

Really, I thought it was supposed to be taking place at Siam Paragon?

Nevermind the figures, I’m curious if they’ll be serving a similarly weird looking meat and cheese platter much like the Vegas show. 🤔😬

Here's the venue. I would be happy if it was at Siam Paragon, I can get there in 15-20 min easy.
Ouch, yeah that really is far out from central Bangkok. I used to live in Nonthaburi, which is nearer to central Bangkok by the looks of things, and that took look enough to get anywhere. Still, travel is always cheap there and it’s a chance to see them in person, so maybe worth the travel.

Michael Jackson, well that's a bit out of the blue, but I know the guy is massive in Asia so I'm not surprised. Really not sure whether I'd want a hyper-realistic Jacko sitting on my shelf tbh, then again I actually think it would be quite cool and unique. That opens up the possibility of other musicians. An InArt Elvis would be awesome.
