You know what honestly guys, I'm going to say end of January/beginning of February when it finally gets shipped.

It's either good/bad for us honestly as I see it in two scenarios:

(1) We get a breathing space and buys us time to move/thin out our other collectables that we are not interested anymore.

(2) Get into a hissy fit and act like Veruca Salt (from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory).

The longer this takes, the more likely it is to become a shelf-warmer as people just wait for the Multiverse version. After a month since they released anything, Hot Toys now has like 20-30 figures slated for release in Oct 2022 -Jan 2023, according to Sideshow’s estimates (a lot of which were figures that were initially promised for last Spring/early Summer). I’m skeptical we’ll even see 12 figures released in those months at this rate.

C'mon Scarlet Witch! :r2d2line:r2d2line:r2d2line

I’ve had a delayed & cancellation notification and I’m tempted to to just let them cancel it, assuming I’ll get my NRD back. The reward points being refunded would also be nice but not holding my breath.

I let my cable cancel and got the NRD back.

I may still get this after it releases and is 20% off but only if that headpiece is removable.

Her window was always July to December. So will only be 6 months
Initially July to December, which means it was promised to arrive as early as July 2022 and is now arriving as late as July 2023…

I get that they give themselves a six month window, but then that has to mean something.

It was originally slatted to release by Q3 July-Sept 2022. I was able to cancel in September after getting a delay email and get my NRD back. They changed it to release by December 2022. Now it was changed again to release by March-July 2023.

I'll take a delay on a 1/6 figure if that means not screwing up in the details within the production line from start to finish and explain why its delayed.

On the other side of the spectrum, Mezco (in which I do buy their stuff as well in 1:12 scale for those curious) just released a boat load of their uber delayed items (counting close to 3 years for some items) and has posted nothing in regards to why their stuff is delayed on their Social Media platforms - "It's just pushed back to so and so date." Fabster and Toypaige both list Mezco's delayed items on their own personal media platform for other to see it. Mezco's zero absence of their own PR skills has long term and future customers frustrated and fed up (in which I'm one of them).

But how many times have these delays from Hot Toys actually led to positive improvements? The two big ones I look back at this past year with massive delays were Loki and Cable and they arguably came out worse than the prototype. I hope this isn’t one of those circumstances.

Not to mention, this is one where they already did make improvements from when it was revealed. That’s not to say they can’t do more, but it feels like they wouldn’t do another round of changes. Maybe the LED arms are giving them trouble.

I have a feeling they delayed this figure to give us that head sculpt from the Multiverse of Madness. If that’s the case then I’m ok with the delay because MOM headsculpt is far superior.

I still dislike the sculpted hair on this figure (even after the "improvement"), but if that means we get the MoM interchangeable hair pieces, I'm okay with the delay. I also wouldn't mind if we just got the MoM head sculpt on this release, as I prefer the likeness on that one as well.

Or, it could just be a standard delay due to Covid, manufacturing capacity issues, approvals or anything else like it usually is.

It's the same head on this and MoM Wanda. The only differences being the paint. I do however hope they include the swap out hair piece, but I doubt it'll happen because they probably want to keep some things exclusive to the MoM version.
