Seen the leaked trailer for this. VERY surprised at the visually darker and tonally darker film this is compared to the first two. The second movie still stands as my worst MCU movie. From what I could see, this definitely peaked my interest in the movie. Nothing like adding a big bad like Kang to the lowest money generating MCU title character to get things more interesting. I love Strange, but let's be honest, if it wasn't for the Illuminati buzz, he wouldn't have made it past 700 mil.

The MCU does it again!

It's a fanmade mockup from the trailer, but the top of the head was visible even in the cropped version that leaked, and it's the exact same design as the sketch from a while back, so, yeah, this is MCU MODOK... I'd say the mask will slide back and reveal the face for 5.7 seconds as an "EPIC" nod to the comic, but some are saying that it's a brain in there and there's no face. Which makes the entire design make no sense, because why would anyone design that robot body for a brain-in-a-jar situation? The more likely explaination is that as he entered the Quantum Realm when his suit malfunctioned, his body got all mangled and he's stuck like that. But again, why let the legs dangle and not build a sort of hoverchair? Either adapt the silly and over the top design, or go for something "logical". You can't have it both ways.

Whatever. Just let it die after they ruin Secret Wars...

Everyone keeps saying he doesn't look like that, but every new report says he's just a gold robotic version of the comic design, so even if it's not legit, I still think it's close to what we'll end up getting. Obviously the mask will open for a few seconds and reveal the face, but not for too long because this is the MCU...

Anyway, some "leakers" (scre them, they got it all wrong this D23) are saying that this will just be MODOK's introduction and he'll come back. Which makes sense to me, as they could revamp AIM through him and go full Science Terrorists. We'll see, in any case.

Just to be completely clear, the very idea and appearance of the original MODOK is silly as all hell. But ... given time and nostalgia, he's also menacing and endearing. This design is none of those things.

The mask of his helmet is ... but not his skin color. I'm guessing there will be some type of energy shield that covers his face that has a blue hue while still showing his actual face.
