Many of these Neon Tech figures are still in stock at SS last I looked :slap I think this blue one is the only one that isn’t since it was the first one, but even then, it took forever to sell out. That tells should tell HT how much ppl actually want these things but of course, they’re clueless.

Looks like it's part of a Tron movie.
That’s basically what they are since HT never moved forward with more from the Tron Legacy license. This one‘s light pattern is very similar to Sam Flynn, the yellow Mk 6 is like Clu, and the mk1 War Machine is like Rinzler. The Mk50 doesn’t really appear to be like any main character unless it’s supposed to mimic one of Clu’s sentry programs or the black guard.

Actually, this one, which was the first, sold out in a few minutes from Sideshow. I know because I wanted one and couldn’t get it. If I recall correctly it was a special ticket event to get in the order line. Also, it’s fairly high on the aftermarket, which is why I never did get one. I’m over it so I won’t get this one either, but just pointing out it didn’t languish like the ones after it.

I wonder if there’s a dedicated Hot Toys forum/group in HK / China where they’re going nuts for these neon releases and Iron Man variations. Ya gotta think that’s the only reason Hot Toys keeps doing these.

I would probably jump right on this if they were also reissuing it without the gantry since I missed the last one and think he'd look good next to the neon Mark L, but that base means a lot of extra space and cost for a non-canon repaint.

Interesting 🤔 I remember it differently as I considered getting one since I love Tron Legacy and this was the closest thing to a posable "program" and remember having ample time to buy one when it was available and just never did.

I think they are basically taking their unsold inventory of their garbage and just repackaging to try to move product. See this and the mark 5 re-release recently. Global recession and these guys are hiking up prices nonstop and releasing stuff like this lol

Normally I dont complain about announcements that I am not interested I but this is just getting ridiculous.

As I love both Iron Man and Tron this is tempting, but I certainly don't have the cash for it right now; I'll wait for the fabled Tron 3 and hope for figures then. Although, truth be told, I was thinking that by now we'd have seen some more MoM figures, or at least a Mr. Knight, but here they are doing rereleases and repaints, so maybe my list of POs will be smaller than I was expecting... Still, this is downright ridiculous. Nonsensical MCU & SW F-Listers and repaints is all they're doing these days. We should've had a Stewart Xavier by now. But watch them release the same basic Strange three times, while they skip both Defender and Supreme...

I normally defend Hot Toys but this is pretty silly to do not just the figure but the gantry as well. Who’s really going to want this?

Being reminded of the excellent Tron Legacy is the only good thing about this thread and release.

It’s all downhill from here.

I've wondered this as well. Also what do they do with returns? Trash the whole thing and write it off to insurance or send them back for repair and repackage for future release?

Yeah, memory is funny like that. I suspect that since I did try to get it and it was sold out the first day that I am probably right, but yeah…

You know when HT did their “UV” lighting for Black Panther’s suit my first thought was “this would’ve been a good way to have poseable ‘light up’ Tron figures”
