Now that's just silly!

**Chuckles**

Of course without a doubt there's a big market for these IM figures, but in my opinion a whole neon gantry is a bit excessive! Hmm, looks like it's the Mark IV die-cast neon tech, which was also released as an exclusive some time ago. edit - I remembered I have that first one so I think I'm good :lol

When purchasing my first IM/HT figure, I preferred the blue on the 1.0 more than the 2.0 yellow but couldn't justify the 2-3x aftermarket price.

Love retrowave/synthwave music, anything neon like with black, contrasted with a bright colour (especially light blue). So this fits right in my ally.

Hopefully I can purchase this without the dumb gantry. Cancelling the IM Mark 3 for this if they put this up.

Surprise, surprise, who didn't see this coming? Hot Toys announce 1 reissued Batman figure, and right after that, it's back to Marvel again, and not only that, it's another reissued Iron Man figure..........:mad::mad::mad::banghead:banghead:banghead:banghead

WOW... for why, Hot Toys, for why??

Things are really looking sad at this point
over there, I'm starting to buy into the theories
about them hurting for money and trying
to publicly fund their business through preorder money.

But here's the thing, Howard... ya need to make things people actually WANT to preorder.

Rising prices, declining economy, terrible £/$ ratio and lack of any sort of effort from HT sure is making it easy for me to save some money right now.

*Daft Punk intensifies*

I’m not the market for this, but I admit it all looks good together.

Has Hot Toys become self-aware? Are they proliferating the joke they themselves have become in the 1/6th community with reissues and 2.0s and recolours? I can somewhat buy the idea that these are fundraisers for further RND for more unique characters but at what point does it end?

Here are the announcements Hot Toys has made since the Summer Showcase:
- Chrome Stormtrooper (Repaint)
- Captain America Stealth Suit (2.0)
- Iron Man Mark XLVI (Reissue + new base)
- Black Panther (2.0)
- Grand Inquisitor (Already teased in Vader pics)
- Open Armour Iron Man Mark 7 (wtf?)
- Reva
- Valkyrie
- Iron Man Mark 5 (A reissue of a reissue)
- Avengers Campus Spider-Man (D23 Exclusive, essentially a recolour)
- Batman Tactical Suit Justice League (Reissue/2.0)
- Avengers Campus Spider-Man (Reissue of this year’s D23 exclusive)
- This Iron Man Neon Tech repaint.

So ever since summer showcase, 2 never before seen figures, 3 if you want to count GI. In over two months. I’d actually be fine with that (ignoring reissues) if they were delivering figures. Many, including myself, have hoped for a slow down on announcements to catch up on 2.5-3 year old figures. However, here is the full list of released figures in that same time aside from some of these new announcements which were quick turnarounds:
- Venomised Iron Man
- Winter Soldier
- Cable
- Boba With Throne for some lucky customers

So theyve added more to their preorder plate than they’ve taken off AND they’re mostly reissues/2.0s/repaints. Other than Summer Showcase, in my opinion, the past 6 or so months have been about as disappointing as they could be for a Hot Toys collector. Let’s hope NYCC turns the tide.

I don't know if I should be sad or happy when hot toys keep spamming ironman variants. I can save my budget to chase my long wishlist either from Hot Toys or another brand.
