Finally saw this.

Quite well done. I am entertained. A couple of brilliant moments in the dogfight scenes.

The film packs a secondary emotional punch for those of us of a certain age.

While radically different, the two Top Guns alongside the two Trainspotting films deal with age and change in real time. 😮

I remember those looney tunes cartoons. Fun times. Lol!
Some of those would be insta-cancelled today. :lol

I remember all the stories of kids copying the cartoons ending in serious injury/death. Most (if not all) of them were myths though. :lol

I don't do cinemas because I can't stand the slurping and crunching that inevitably surrounds you. But I finally got around to seeing this, I ordered the 4k disk what seems like a life time ago (Seriously, I don't remember any other physical releases taking this long?) And I very much enjoyed it! It was cliched, predictable and borrowed heavily from other movies. But it was fun! And that aspect is what Hollywood has mostly forgotten about these days.

I'd love to know how Maverick survived a Mach 10 ejection mind...

Ah man don’t you remember we Use to have to wait a year of more for films in the days VHS and early DVD

Though I agree Top Gun was a long wait in todays physical media world.

Weird cause you could get it digitally forever

Typical Amazon shenanigans, ordered it with a guaranteed release day delivery and it still hasn’t shown up nearly a week after release day.
