Hot Toys - TMS032 - The Mandalorian - 1/6th scale Dark Trooper Collectible Figure

Just received my invoice from AE on my first two! Should be in hand in a week or so. My third is with Sideshow, so who knows when THAT will ship. But AE receiving their stock is a good sign!

My fourth is on order at my LCS, so that’s another who knows when.

So when Mando Luke arrives with the smashed torso to swap out, I should have a nice little army put together to recreate those incredible S2 Finale scenes! Should be fun!

All of the cylindrical joints are diecast, and there are a ton of them.

Aaaaaaaand just received the item arriving soon notice from Sideshow as well. Looks like three of these will be steaming to my home quite soon!

I love these things but it’s crazy I basically got them as accessories for other figures.

Yep, I pretty much got this to back up Gideon.

This is one Star Wars figure I'm still looking forward to, probably because he always reminded me of the Micronaut, Baron Karza.

Karza actually predated Star Wars, at least the film itself, being among Mego's 1976 range and deriving from Takara's original Microman line.

In an odd way this recent Disney creation captures the essence of the era that gave rise to Lucas' universe.

A photo review today by canonfalao on the BBICN forum reconfirmed my original impression:

I have an original Baron Karza in the attic, which I keep forgetting to bring down every time I take empty figure boxes up.

I just am not very impressed with these but it kind of seems like they might be better in hand. I dunno maybe if they stick around for a while and get discounted I’ll pick one up.

How do they look on the shelf without the eyes lit up? Like a big black shadow? Like the Deathtrooper?

Thank the maker! I was so happy when I got the email that it was in stock and I was finally able to use ONE of ten hot toys promos Supposedly the hot toys promos will work on the chrome Stormtrooper so if that's the case I'll have to grab it as well

Also worth noting that the most recent QR sticker codes have a different name prefix and don't expire until 1/31/23, so make sure you use the earlier ones expiring in November first.

Does not appear to be the case, at least not currently - perhaps because the chrome stormtrooper is a preorder?

I was able to use it. For some reason it showed up as a pre order first and later went in stock. If you ordered, just ask Support to cancel it and reorder it with the coupon. That's what I had to do, but it was worth the 10% off
