One little criticism on the character design not the figure itself, in my opinion the repainted jetpack looks a lot less cooler than the damaged one. The details and colors on the damaged jetpack look so nice. The repainted version could have used some details, it looks a little boring, but that's on the show and not on Hot Toys. The TMS078 one looks a lot better. I guess Boba just had one spray can of olive green available at the end of Season 2. :)

I agree, I didn’t realize they’d gone so plain on the repaint in the show. Then went back to something more intricate for Book of Boba Fett.

HT has never really successfully been able to present an armored figured as having a real person underneath 95% of the time it looks like there’s a super skinny human under the costume just go look at Commander Cody as just one example of that long living problem.

Then when you add for example Captain America having no shoulder traps downward slant it breaks the illusion of a real person even more.

The fat suits help a little actually but look at the sacrifices to articulation.

HT has never truly earned the right to charge what they do.

I like the looser-fitting sleeves on the sarlacc-damaged version better. Makes the arms look less like sticks.

But I'm liking the bumpy "repaint" a lot.
I agree about the sleeves, kind of an odd change. I even had a problem on my two pack version, the left arm was connected backwards at the elbow joint, so I had to slowly inch the sleeve up enough to be able to take it off and reconnect it correctly.
Hopefully nobody has that issue with the repaint version, because with the sleeves that tight, it seems like that would be a nightmare.

Paint job looks too crusty to me.

Maybe Hot Toys had access to props that we didn't, but I've never seen it look that crusty in stills or videos. It looked smooth to me.

A buddy of mine pre-ordered the throne version this last week and already got his email about it shipping soon, meanwhile I’ve had it pre-ordered since it went up and I still haven’t gotten mine yet.
Kind of frustrating that’s there’s no rhyme or reason to how they ship things.
Yup. And if you dare ask them about it, they’ll swear up and down it’s in order received.

💯 facts.
And it’s like, I’m genuinely not trying to be a Karen about it, but it’s beyond belief that they have no what to check what’s in inventory, and when it will be shipping. I don’t know if it’s just their policy not to share that kind of information or something, but when we’re customers who spend hundreds of dollars at a time with them, you’d think we’d get customer service commensurate with that cost.

Hi everyone :) long time lurker first time poster, and i joined solely to ask wtf is going on with this release??
did sideshow make some kind of deal with HT for this to be released to them first or something?

I think it's more likely Sideshow has sent these out early in error; it was probably intended as another simultaneous release where Hot Toys sits on the Hong Kong release and blogger photos until Sideshow's shipment arrives overseas, only this time the shipment must have arrived early and Sideshow's warehouse must have just started sending them out without notifying Hot Toys that they were ready to go.

Yep that’s my thinking as well. Probably wasn’t meant to be shipped yet.

But if anyone has received the Throne version early FFS post pics !!! 😄

Don’t think it’s an error. These things don’t have a street date like home movies or music releases. They probably got a small batch and are just shipping them out as they’re receiving them.

I think if that was the case this wouldn't be the first time this has happened. We know from past coordinated releases that Sideshow has had stock in-hand before the Hong Kong release is official before. Either something's changed or they jumped the gun.

As long as I get a tracking# and Boba with throne delivered within the next couple weeks, I'll be happy with whatever the reason is:lol
