This has been in my preorder basket on and off for the last week.

Do I need it? (with the other 2 Robocop releases and Murphy). Nope.
Do I want it? (if it's accurate to Robocop 2's paint job). Maybe.

It's bad that you can't trust Hot Toys when it comes to paint apps on the final release after years of being burnt.

If this was an R2 release with Murphy head sculpt, spray painted swap out parts, all new battle damage parts, Cain brain etc. I would have jumped straight on it. As it is, it's a repaint of a figure I already have (the jetpack will stay in the box) and there's no guarantee that the production paint will be just like the promo pics, so I'm going to wait till it's released and risk having to pay more if it's any good.

Totally understand. I’m a huge Robocop fan and missed out on the earlier releases so I’m def all in for this one. I’ll make sure to post pics when it eventually ships so you can see what it looks like in hand. 👍🏻

As I mentioned before, I have have both Robocop w/mechanical chair and BD Robocop so I don't necessarily need this one. With that said, for the longest time I've been contemplating doing a repaint to match Robocop 1 colors but have been too big of a wuss to try it on my only Robocop figure😅. So I'll definitely be buying this reissue and give it a shot at a repaint.... maybe.

I really want a Robocop in the collection but like the original "Predator", I'm holding out on an updated original version. (foolish hope?...)

so you believe an updated Robocop 1 will look a lot different then this new Robocop 3? Ive never seen the die-cast Robocop figures in person, are there still visual flaws that need to be addressed?

Me too! I'd love to repaint my Robocop but just don't trust myself not to mess it up. It's a shame as I think just a light mist of transparent dark grey or black shade over some parts of the armour with an airbrush would tone down the chrome look and make it look a bit more like the original armour.

I should have been more specific in that I was referring to the Robocop/Alex two-pack.
Ah! That feels more like a one and done release, especially if the speculation is correct that they’re soft-reissuing the original diecast figure here because they don’t actually still have/didn’t pay for the Robocop 1 license and Weller likeness.

Same figure with better paint and a jet pack
I’ve got all the other robo‘s, might pass on this one

“My friends call me Murphy. You can call me…RoboCop.” - Robocop
RoboCop is assigned to clean out the less desirable neighborhoods of Detroit by harassing the local residents and must decide if his loyalties side with his developer the Omni Consumer Products or helping the citizens of the city he is sworn to protect.

Celebrating nearly 30 years impact of RoboCop 3, Hot Toys is excited to revisit the truly iconic character - Robocop in 1/6th scale diecast collectible figure based on this classic Sci-fi movie first released in 1993.

The movie-accurate RoboCop figure made in diecast material features a helmeted head with interchangeable lower part of faces capturing different expressions; intricate sections of armor such as hidden thigh pistol holster; specially applied iridescent colored painting in purplish blue scheme; a number of greatly-detailed weapons and accessories including diecast pistol, pistol, multipurpose cannon with missile and blast effect, flight pack, interchangeable hands and figure base.

Save the day with the Robocop figure today!

Whoa! This seemed to have come outta nowhere!! :panic::panic:

I was interested in the previous Robocop 1 die-cast figure, but I went back and forth for so long, mostly because of the looming issue of the shoulder joints. (Hopefully that's rectified with this version). I'm again looking forward to this one!
