Nice news on this one coming early. I’d prefer an altered sculpt but I don’t mind the one we got previously.

Regardless this will be a cool looking figure to go with Marty. I really never thought we’d get it or the Part III figures.

The quick turn around time has me thinking it's the same sculpt.

So probably likely to see final pictures mid month onwards.
Yeah the quick release definitely makes me think there has been no sculpt revision. Its not like its a figure that HT have to rush out though, in the sense its from a movie which is over 35 years old. Makes me think HT might be rushing this line and not paying much attention to it. Will still be good though to have a Part I Doc.

As others have said though, I was pretty sure the HT BTTF line was dead as a Dodo. I still want a Biff mind you.

You are probably right but these figures would never have been made if Howard wasn’t a huge BTTF fan so you would think he would want to get them right. Or maybe it’s just his personal copy that’s done properly and with a new head sculpt lol?

I suppose they could use the Part 3 sculpt for this one as well, since we've certainly seen them do that kind of thing before. Of course I'm not sure I like that one much better.

Baffles me though as doc in 1 has more wrinkles so having 2 sculpts the same from 2 different films is a bit odd. Guess we'll just have to wait and see from final photos.

They'd have to fill those glasses holes, still baffles me they didn't use rooted hair.

It does say newly painted so hopefully they correct that, but knowing HT …

Re the part 3 sculpt, HT are not very good at rooted hair so I think this is the lesser of two evils but the hair/whole thing looks odd. I don’t mind the expression but again it doesn’t really capture the character all that well, he needed a bit more of a smirk on his face, plus they seem to be trying to get that out in the sun a long time look with the skin but it just looks like he spent too much time at the tanning salon.

What's everyone thoughts on standard vs deluxe version? I'm thinking of preordering this using my pennies on popcultcha but can't decide which version to get. Is usually go deluxe but is it worth it for a bonus cardboard item?

For me the deluxe is a must with that plutonium case. That really should have just come standard for this version of Doc in my opinion.

Yeah I would say the Deluxe as well. Don’t know the price difference but it’s probably ridiculous given the one extra item. Having said that it does look really nice and one of the canisters comes out. It just worries me how much of it is cardboard and how much is plastic.

I’m not sure why they would make the case out of cardboard. Hopefully they changed it and that’s not actually how it’s made.

It says “Plutonium case is composed of high-quality cardboard and plastic parts” but it’s not clear which parts are which material. I’m hoping it’s just the insert that the canisters slot into but knowing HT …
