I'm one of those with ZERO interest in the BoBF figure. The throne version will probably be the last Fett I buy (unless they do wee Boba from CW).
I am of the same opinion , this is probably my last Fett unless my waitlist gets converted for Arena Fett which I doubt will.

I'm sorry they smoothed it out. I liked the visual idea of the "repaint" being a rush job over the sarlacc acid-spattered version, a kind of middle step before the "final" version seen on BOBF. Now those two versions will look too similar. I sense license holder meddling...

I think it's simpler than that -- it's what it looked like on the show. Even though you could still see some trace of the acid damage in the last episodes, the paint he used on the armor was thick enough to even out most of the surface, an effect that's a lot harder to pull off with toy paint on plastic. HT needed to do new tooling if they wanted to exactly match what was on screen.

Yeah. I think it looks more screen accurate that way with the smoother paint.

But an Acid, re-Armored (with damaged underneath) and BoBF lineup would’ve been a nice evolution lineup like jedi said but it is what it is.

I wish this repainted armor got more action scenes in Mandalorian because the BD got more action scenes while this armor was reduced to walking, standing or mostly slave one sitting scenes

Because we know they totally modded this attire in BOBF :(

I've pretty much lost all interest in this version of Boba Fett, but the figure still looks pretty awesome in the promo pics so I'm fine holding onto my order. And it helps that I'm only getting the $244 standard version. Really glad now I didn't go for the deluxe.

looks like they really cleaned up the paint on this, can see it at 4:40

compared to the prototype it looks less caked on and more smooth / screen accurate:

I’m very happy to see this

In the video I do still see a decent amount of texture under the paint on some parts of the helmet. I'm still hopeful in-hand that you can see that damage. I have to assume it's the same mold for helmet and armor that was used for post-sarlacc Fett. If that's the case, then the evolution should look appropriate. It's gonna look so good on the throne with Fennec eventually...

i had issues with my preorder so cancelled it and I’m going straight to the bobf version. For now. I will probably cave when it is released

...So now you lost your NRD and you'll pay that yet again when you cave on release!!

You sound exactly like me. I do that kind of s***.
Not sure who you're replying to. But I commented about cancelling my order so it might have been me.
I've cancelled all of my Star Wars PO's apart from ROTJ Scout and Speeder and Snowspeeder Luke.
I'm also in the process of selling all my non OT figures.
