I have a lot of Iron Man figures but can’t even imagine feeling the slightest urge to pick this up on sale for $200. Maybe at $150?

This thing will sit around forever.

Two things:
1. For that price it should have absolutely come with a Tony figure. (Then they MIGHT have sold a few)
2. The arc reaction should not be lit up. It only lit up after Tony got inside it.

Who is this for, exactly? Sure, there are a number of people that buy anything Iron Man.

But Iron Man 3 was such a long time ago and this was on screen for a few seconds. It doesn’t even look that cool. It’s kind of goofy looking from all angles.

They’re free to keep making Iron Man figures but this feels like it’s scraping the bottom of the barrel. I’d rather see a new fully battle damaged Mk 7. Or a battle damaged Mk 50 would be cool.

I actually think it looks cool with the lit-up interior (that is the 'display' side) but it's far too scene or rather 'moment' specific a thing for me to buy.

I do think though if they want to keep milking Iron Man they should be doing full battle-damage versions of the major armours, and not ridiculous Zombie or Venomized crap.

Hands down, this is the most ridiculous Iron Man cash grab to date. Running close behind is the open suit…

I wouldn’t buy it but I think it looks kind of cool. Price is what it is. It’s less than other Iron Man figures and has as much if not slightly more detailing as other armors when you consider it’s finished on the outside (aside from closing) as well as inside has all the detailing.

While I think this is cool, it's not something I would ever own. Especially at this price.

But I would say HT is most likely finally releasing this as to keep the IM3 license open. I'm sure their contractual agreement probably stipulates that they have to produce a product every so many years in order to not have to re-negotiate. This is a prototype that was obviously completed way back when, so it was an easy release. And something new rather than all the other re-releases we have been seeing.

And like others have said, it's Iron Man. He sells like hot cakes in Asia. I do agree at this price it should've included a Stark figure. But any one who collect these most likely has one of the various Tony Stark figures they can put with this. Or have a custom they have made pretty easily with all the Stark heads out there and generic clothing one could buy.

I'd rather have an open body Robert Downey Jr.
I want to see what damage the years of drug abuse did to the inside of his body.
