I freaking HATE that saying. If it doesn’t look good in pictures or video, then either the figure/statue sucks or the person taking the pictures/video sucks, and most of the time it’s the figure/statue that sucks. If that person wants to change my mind, they are free to send me the figure for me to judge for myself, but if I think it looks like crap, then someone saying “it looks better in person” is not going to change my mind.

I bought TROS Rey because everyone assured me it was "better in hand" and it was absolute garbage so I sold it instantely. Never again will I listen to anyone that tells me that.
I can understand that, but to be honest there have been some figures that photograph way better than others.
Hot Toys headsculpts in general can be really tough to get in-hand quality pictures of.

Usually it’s both…person taking the pictures AND the figure both suck.

Learnt this a long time ago. Dont by swayed by anyone on youtube. Trust your gut, if you like the look a figure get it if you have doubts dont. Doesnt matter if its a hot toy or a marvel legend etc always trust your own instinct

FACTS! Neither HS is 100%. This was def assigned to the HT B-Team. And to my eye, that custom head is much farther away in terms of accuracy.

Yes it is this forum, but it definitely was and is the YouTubers as well. I get it and understand, but it's getting way more heat than it deserves. The body needs a little more meat to it to bring up the size a bit.
I feel the head sculpt is an innocent bystander caught in the fire toward the body. The exposed joints were always shown in the protos, so not understanding the shock about them. To each their own, but I'm not following the crowd on this one yet until I see it up close and determine.

Why do people keep saying HT have a B team? There is no such thing. I’ve seen their top sculptors do awful sculpts. Kojun did Anakin, Dooku and Dr Strange but also did most of the subpar Luke sculpts and the legendary smiling Scott Lang.
It’s not meant to be literal, at least for me. Like the phrase “phoned it in”. Instead of HTB Team, you can say Kojun or whoever phoned this one in.

Because there is a staggering amount of vitriol against HT on this board, much of it utterly unjustified and while I admit they do make mistakes and strange decisions at times, a bit of balance never ever goes astray.

Hmmm....found this laying around from the release of the prototype. Perhaps it's looked like how it came out from the get go.

For those of us gluttons who actually do like him and want him, scrawny or otherwise, when are we thinking Cable will be hitting us, either through SSC or BBTS or the like?
I have him pre-ordered I like the scuplt . The custom body not so much. Im displaying with clothes on lol
