Seeing how long this got pushed back and then was in no way improved from the proto, makes me nervous for endgame loki.
the first one was good if thats any consolation. If they had the smiling sculpt incuded I would have preordered this 2.0.

Hot toys can do better than this in their sleep when they care to .
Yeah I think thats what's bugging people, we know HT could do better if they really wanted, just a half assed effort in the end. They probably regret even committing to making this figure now.
Will probably be able to pick this figure up at half price in a few months time, when retailers are trying free up space in their stock.

I think I'm going to be known as the balloon pants guy...but those Cable balloon pants eclipsed the balloon pants on Bane, Cap and The Batman. Maybe Hot Toys can take a page out of InArt in terms of tapering pants, i.e. InArt The Batman.

Seeing some blogger images it doesn't look to bad I'd probably get it just to have Cable, but I sold my Deadpool a long time ago. I think if anything he'll pair well with Wolverine but otherwise it's a pass.

It does look better than the Toys Era version in his brief side-by-side comparison, but I think some of that is due to that funky custom sculpt he has on his TE figure. I don't recall the TE head looking that bad.

This does confirm to me that HT designed this assuming people would pose him in full costume. I still think they could have bulked up the body without negatively affecting the costumed look.

I wonder if the mech arm can be taken off and put into a bigger body.

The toys era stock head is better than what he is using

The Toys Era head sculpt is not great, I sold mine shortly after getting it and was just underwhelmed by it.

I am on board for this one and have an idea on adding to the trap area that may help when I get him.
In either case, he looks great with all of the gear on.

As has been said by quite a few people on YouTube, this is pretty much the prototype... the proportions
looked the same in the solicit photos, so no bait and switch going on from Hot Toys.

As far as "throwing it under the bus", I disagree... they just did nothing to improve certain areas of that
prototype, even after a 2-year+ wait.... which is my biggest complaint here. The window from preorder
to release needs to be improved. It's just gotten ridiculous. *cough* **wonder woman** *cough*

The more I think about this possibility the less convinced I am that it would be worth the effort. That mech arm is rather thin, so it would probably end up looking undersized on a larger torso. Probably better to just add padding to this one and/or give him a different tactical vest that's a bit bulkier.

I'd be more inclined to swap out the other arm with a seamless one from an HT Thor or the like (provided the skin tone matches).
