To me that is R1 Head, ask him to send the pic from the front. R1 Vader's face is smooth unlike the ANH ver.

I've done a heap of swapping on my RO Vader (all my Vaders are in a constant state of swapping/modding/pulled apart - the RO helmet is being tweaked 
) but I was reminded the other day that 40 years ago in 1981, I won a Kenner Vader figure in a Topps competition. I'd never won anything in a competition before so cherished that thing for like a week before daring to open it.
Decided to pose Vader up into that Kenner artwork pose with the "blurred" saber blade.

Yeah Kaiyodo with the custom Hurricane dome, which I think is a rework of the SSC ROTJ dome, hence no peak, which I don't mind.
Original Kaiyodo is a little sharper than Hurricane's recast of it, even though he tweaked it for accuracy. It has minor inaccuracies but I like the size of it versus all the bigger HT facemasks. It also somehow really "pops" as onscreen Vader more than any of the HT facemasks for some intangible reason (I'm tinkering with both of the HT ANH style ones, but left the HT ESB tweaks at just enlarging that lil' button nose they gave him.)
Still need to pad back of shoulders to get dome slightly closer to shoulder line. It'll do until I can get Carsten's custom parts.

I got my Carsten ANH parts in right after finishing a couple months worth of work on my ROTJ Vader, so I haven't had motivation to work on it yet, but that surely will be a contender for the best yet. Very curious to see one painted up (as I doubt I will be the first to do it).
Here's his sculpt next to my customized HT ANH and kaiyodo.
This is the best Vader and it’s not even close. The body is much more Vader-like imo, less stout and more imposing. I will never understand why Hot Toys insists on using that other body while this one was never seen again (Must be cheaper to produce, somehow).
(I swapped the codpiece with ANH Vader and gave him some ESB gloves for an Episode III look.)

Does anyone know if the sideshow ANH hands fit on the hot toys version 1 a new hope body?
Originally I was looking for RO hands but I’d have to purchase a while other RO figure at this point. Might as well pick up a sideshow ANH for the gloves.

They won’t just port over. I believe I modified some takara wrist joints for the fit.

Hey McHaley, your talent is outstanding! Quick question…everyone’s mentioning a hasbro helmet to replace sideshow and hot toys helmets…there are many 12” hasbro helmets and they all look a bit different, which one do you think is closer to accurate?

I think they are referring to the electronic 12” Vader. It’s also the same one that canon the Vader /Anakin 2 pack. I don’t think anyone actually used it to replace the Hot Toys version. I did comparisons with that helmet in my custom thread. 1st page, I believe.

No he means these from the late 90's. I know some people customized the original Sideshow Vader with the Hasbro dome. I don't know if anyone did the Hot toys Vader though with the Hasbro Dome.

Totally remember the Hasbro Dome discussion. Although I still have my Hasbro and Sideshow Darths, I never bothered to do the swap. Now that I have the RO Vader, I'm glad I didn't alter the Hasbro dome.
