I know some folks earlier were speculating that, because of the shape of the cowl around the mouth, the mouthplates would have to either be cut strangely, or need to be put in from inside the sculpt. Wonder if they just didn't think it worth the additional R&D. Are there any HT batman figures that have had the sculpts put in from inside the cowl?

i dont think any of them, especially the recent ones did that. the closest thing would probably be ben affleck's batman with those eye inserts. most are all just friction fit now, i don't think it'd be anything too difficult to slide the mouthplate in at an angle with the curved pieces on the cowl or just hollowing out the mouth area entirely and inserting a magnet inside but it might be to too costly for them possibly like you said. the figure is $255 before tax and shipping on sideshow, which really surprised me when i did a double pass. dx19 was 290.

Typically with HT, that's pretty much all you get until the brown boxes show up in Hong Kong, signalling the release. A few days after that the first reviews start trickling in. Were you looking for any information in particular?

Release window for this and Robin just got pushed to Dec 22 - Jan 23 on Sideshow. Assuming they know something we don't, guess the best we can hope for is a christmas miracle now

Perfect this just means my Batman begins figure will get pushed more to the right as well

At this stage the Clooney Batman might come out first... I don't understand why these things get delayed like this.

Oh I thought I missed something lol. Yeah that would be really sick. And after doing Forever I think they should definitely do B&R as well

Until Hot Toys making it, I am happy with the custom made one I got.

Any news on this guy? Super excited for him to finally release. Hoping with all of Sideshow’s/Hot Toys’ constant delays (where the hell is the new Wonder Woman?) we will still see this come out in the next few months…

Nada, latest rumors are some star war clones originally slated for Q4 2022- Q1 2023 are arriving at sideshow soon.

Other than 84 WW and Endgame Loki, these are the most late at this point so hopefully soon.

Yeah that's making me hopeful as well. Super long delays like Loki and Wonder Woman don't happen that often, so it's likely that Batman shows up before end of the year.

I don’t think it’s a shock that the most delayed figures involve head sculpts and that they are delayed probably due to legal issues and/or a lack of painters available in HK, and that is probably due to strict covid restrictions.
