Mark 3 2.0 (3.0) but it's actually a true 2.0 unlike the previous lazy bad diecast release! :lol

This is it!!!! :panic: :panic: :panic: :panic: :thud::thud::thud::thud:

THE IRON MAN!!!! The one that started it all!! (Well technically it's the Mark I :lol)

Wowza this one looks much improved upon the previous die-cast, the accessories are sufficient and the diorama base is oh so nice! Just about the most prominent missing piece is the helmeted head sculpt with the removable face plate.

I have the QS 1/4 Mark III, but this is also a must!!!!! :thud::thud:

**** these 1/6ths are approaching 1/4 prices.... with worse proportions and gaps.

OSK prices their figures roughly $30 more than Sideshow so I guess this will be roughly $495. I remember when the first diecast Iron Man came out for $310 and people went nuts then. Crazy how now the most standard and basic of figures is within the $300-$350 range. Diecast Iron Man figures are now in the $450-$500 pricing.

Will still get this but will dump my remaining $100 reward points into it to lower the cost. Happy with the Mark 3, Mark 7 and the BD Mark 85 to close out RDJs Iron Man in my collection.

Yeesh, agreed, the price seems a bit outlandish. I remember getting the 1/4 Mark XLII for less than that amount :lol (But yeah 1/4 prices are creeping up too.)

I've owned a ton of diecast Iron Man, and this is actually the one I thought would never get made (they botched the orginal). I'd call this the one to own.

  • Iconic, clean design
  • Origin of the MCU

So ZE_501 are you gonna get this new IM Mark III? :monkey3 I recall you used to have that as your avatar picture :lol

Jesus christ just noticed it's not just the back cover that has an exposed screw, he has exposed screws at the knees too. Feels like a cheap toy.
And I must be missing a couple of screws to even be considering purchasing this. I already have enough Iron Men but the pull of temptation is really strong.

At this point, not sure I need it to be honest -- but I'll wait to see production photos. I think it may have been the VI that was my avatar though ...

Ah gotcha ;) If I recall correctly you mentioned you've majorly reduced your collecting activity.

Strange, I remember your previous avatar as the Mark III, or maybe I just mistook the VI as the III all this time :lol

Final product blogger photos are out, and somehow RDJ looks even older than in the prototype sculpt.

they do know that this movie came out in 2008, right?

The armor itself looks great though. Took them long enough to get it right. Guess the helmet is staying on this one.

The less glossy finish is better, still the wrong red though I think. I'm kinda done with IM, it's really difficult to get excited about these releases anymore. A new quarter scale might change my mind.

I like Iron Man. I like the Mk 3. The figure seems to have turned out well.

But I completely forgot this was even a thing.

That can’t be good for business. :lol
Same! Was a bit surprised when I woke up this morning and saw the blogger pics.

First thought was “ahh crap, might have to put him on payment plan, so I have longer to decide”

Now with Queen Studios doing 1/3 MCU pieces, I’d almost just wait on them than getting this.
