Who knows - maybe our dollies will become more valuable in the Mad Max wasteland to come than the money we paid for them with - Book of Eli style - and each of us will control our own little fiefdoms like Gary Oldman and compete against each other for the best collection so the masses can look upon them and remember the films, art and nostalgia of the world before and slowly form a cult around them to puzzle archeologists in a few thousand years.
.....Probably not, but we can't rule it out!
I doubt it. In a Post-Apoc world nostalgia for pop culture fads will die out. Especially when Hasbro stuff will be piling up for kids to play with. Not that in such a situation there will be a lot of playing... In the wasteland, our hobby will end up being a detriment. Thousands dropped on things that will instantly become useless. And let's be honest, a Scarlet Witch doll isn't conservation of art. If such things go down, they're all being left behind as we rush to shelters. But I try not to think that way. However, I do keep it in the back of my head as a way to reign myself in.

From that list, I'm in for Paul and Bale. I like Phoenixoker, but not enough to drop 1K+ on him and get multiple versions. I'll probably skip Potter. I want an Aragorn, but I'm after the RotK look. I'm also waiting for a 2/3 Neo. Beyond that, I'm waiting to see what they'll cook up.

Yep. Certainly does look good.

PS has your wallet seen this list yet ?
It has and, while it's certainly going to take a beating, it's glad it didn't put any money towards Hot Toys DCEU Superman, Batman, or Wonder Woman and waited for, hopefully, better products.

So what I’m getting from all of this is that Doom will be die cast!

Diecast HT Doom, only 500$ because, uh... the gauntlets or something have some metal, we don't know. Just buy it you stupid consumerist nerds.

As much as I would like Mera, Black adam, and JP Joker, these are not Star Wars characters and I will never be able to justify the price in my mind.

Queen Studio John talks about the (LE) Joker in this interview, from around the 12.30 minute mark.

In a nutshell it costs them more to make than most figures, because of the licencing, so it'll cost us more to buy. So yeah more limited than most releases.

So the Batman cape is going to be leather?

Seeming they have some licensing agreements for Game of Thrones and LOTR I wonder if they might pick up the the licences for House of the Dragon and Rings of Power. I thought the first episode of House of the Dragon was really bloody good actually, I wouldn’t mind them taking a stab at a couple of those characters, particularly Matt Smith’s Daemon Targaryen.

Such a great time for them to put Daenerys and Aragorn/Legolas up for pre-order… if they’re ready.

But Hot Toys is doing such a great job with the Predator licence, they put one out 5 years ago. What more could you guys want?!

Imagine having two of the hugest franchises (ie Predator and Alien) and pissing that licence away to the extent they do, not putting out any figures for half a decade (in both cases). These are two of the most consistently requested franchises for new figures after all.

InArt need to aggressively pursue both these licenses, and the Terminator licence.

They're coming out of the gate with the flavours of the month. But Terminator and Indy were high on those recent polls.
I wouldn’t call HL Joker- arguably the most beloved iteration of the character- from a 15 year old movie, who's merchandise is consistently profitable and is one of the most frequently customised figures, Gandalf, from a 20 year old movie, who is one of the most iconic and recognisable characters in all of fiction that has existed in the public realm for almost 70 years, or Batman who, regardless of the depiction, has a built in army of lifelong fans flavours of the month.

IA are certainly playing it safe by targeting these evergreen licenses that are all basically too big to fail but boast the kind of enduring fans required to fork out the higher price tag.
HT are the flavour of the month company serving at the behest of Disney’s never ending yawn fest of half-asses ‘content’ or dropping the likes of Morbius to appease… fans of memes?

Or maybe they are first doing licenses that are easier to attain and appeal to the Chinese market. As soon as their company grows then they can attain those global licenses and tackle all those great 80s figures. Just because a franchise/film is popular in the rest of the world doesn’t mean it’s popular in China. Fast forward 2 years, with more global licenses, then the variety of releases will probably be more impressive.

Besides the current options out there for characters like HL Joker, Gandalf and Pennywise are not very impressive.

I get what you're saying.

I want to see their Paul now more than others, though their Batfleck has me hyped.

Yep I'm also hyped to see Paul. I have the Trinity, however I'll definitely be interested in upgrading to InArt should they hit a home run with them.
Oh come on we all know you’re most looking forward to Harry Potter.

In terms of level of excitement I’ll go…

1) Daenerys
2) Phoenix Joker
3) Aragorn
4) Paul Atreides
5) Legolas

Not that I’m not excited for the others. The one that intrigues me the most is the Nazgul, just not sure how they’re going to pull that off and justify the price. Maybe they could give it as a 2-pack option with Aragorn or something.

Hell to the yeah! My brother. My captain. My king!

I managed to skip Gandalf but I know that an amazing Viggo Mortenson head sculpt will definitely have me getting Aragorn. If that is the case, I would hope for a 2-pack, like the Joker, and upgrading one of my current Aragorns, in the process.
