Hot Toys - Star Wars: The Mandalorian - Grogu Collectible Set

I would agree that this is something I’ll jump on if it gets discounted. If its a short run and sells out before that happens then oh well. Some fun accessories but they’re really just that and nothing I must have.

Now should it actually hover? I didn’t think it would even if it does (thanks Asta, I hate it). It’s sitting high up in the Chapter 7 shot of Grogu choking Cara, but I would think that’s just for framing. It just seems like it’d be sitting on more crates and not hovering.

It would make more sense to me to have added a second flight stand to be used with the pram that came with the Season 1 Beskar Deluxe set.

It’s just kind of weird to have a flying crate. That’s not being thrown by Vader, anyway.

Flying crate aside, I still think HT missed the opportunity to release an angry force choke Grogu. Maybe it was to be included in the cancelled Cara Dune figure.

To be fair(And i haven't watched that guy's video, as i hate his voice), there are a lot of storage containers in the SW universe that float. In our world, a floating box would be overkill. But the technology is in his original, and second pram, in carbonite blocks, and many other pieces of tech, so it's not totally wrong to assume this would float.
Like i say, not arguing a point, but it's possible it was a hover container. We have seen tiny droids floating, and also, huge items, implying the technology can be in almost anything, and use virtually no power.

It's a repulsorlift crate. It floated to Kuiil's house.

I remembered seeing the crate in the cargo hold but it didn’t register in my head that they made the crate float.

Did they throw the flying crate in there because they forgot to add Grogu and didn’t want to show that Mando left him in the ship?

Still not a pram though!

It’s true, hover/repulsor tech is definitely prevalent in Star Wars but it’s hard for me to imagine it’s in every single normal looking crate in the universe even if this one does.

People still need cheap crates and a hovering version I feel like would cost more than one that doesn’t.

Things like the Carbonite block, Droids, and pram are all specialty items so that makes sense to me. We do see people loading crates manually, or putting them on sleds or other vehicles. You’d think they’d just make them all hover.

In fairness, that crate has a bunch of buttons on it, and they've gotta be for something.

The saddest part of all is, they left that Lothcat to starve to death after Kuiil died.

Why carry something when it can carry itself instead?

It puzzles me in American films why grocery bags didn't have handles, so characters struggle to get into their cars with two big paper bags under their arms.

If only those bags could float the characters could get their car keys out without dropping anything.

Almost anything that has any weight in SW has a repulsorlift. It tells us that the tech is everywhere(Even in a dirty, weathered old box), and that it's a labour saving device so ubiquitous, that everyone takes it totally for granted.
Not so had to explain away. And i love the idea that a box with lights on it can move under it's own power. It would be sooo handy having a box like that in the back of your car when you go shopping!

Mine is out for delivery. Overpriced but I like the additional items.
