1/6 Hot Toys - MMS664-D48 - Iron Man - Iron Man Mark 3 (2.0 For Real This Time!)

as for me, all my IM will be posed, so the "height issue" doesn't bother me too much. Hall of Armor/museum pose is a boring look to me and does not do these figs any justice and i could put some cheap 1/6 Crazy Toys statues instead.

that is what I did for my hall of armour set up. KO iron Men in the cases. Genuine HT can stand posed out front

well, sideshow’s fear tactic timer on the exclusive got me to preorder, probably would have had reward points expire before another order anyway

I did the same! Hate myself for putting in an order b/c of that stupid timer but it worked anyway

To be fair sideshow is being very generous with that timer for you guys. In HK, the timer is much more strict and it is limited by slots.

Yeah they got us; it worked on me as well. Haven’t ordered this but it got me to order the Star Wars figures - Obi-Wan, Vader, and Padme.

We do have it much easier in a lot of ways, especially with most anything exclusive. I don’t take that for granted. I wouldn’t want to collect these as much if I had to jump through more hoops.

RE: timed exclusives - I would say I have taken it for granted for sure. I'm so used to exclusives being nearly infinitely available up until (and even after) release that this timer business is going to take some getting used to if it becomes the standard thing to do for future exclusives. Though, that does make the exclusive more valuable I guess? Since now they may very well be more limited items than before.

Same here, ordered the EX. I know this will be on sale at some point after it sits in stock for a year or two, but this, Wolverine, and RoboCop are all figures that I’m fine dumping some RPs on at full price to get the exclusive items. None of the exclusive items from last summer’s timed figures interested me, plus I don’t feel like I’ve bought a HT figure at full price in quite a while, so I don’t mind splurging a bit on these.

Caved and ordered this. Its just too damn iconic.

Still managing to keep with mostly Infinity Saga stuff though.

IS is the = to star wars OT basically. A lot of iconic characters.

Went ahead and picked up the EX from Sideshow as well. I would've preferred to wait until after it releases (and goes on sale), but I really like the exclusive helmet accessory and didn't want to miss out in case this is a home run release. The height/proportions still bother me, but I'm hoping I can hide them with some clever posing. Worst case, I'll sell/return it and keep the 1.0.

I was like "I can make it with my v1.0" then I put the IV / VII beside... Well...

Crazy how much the scale increased. I have the same thing happening right now between Golden Age Cap and Endgame Cap. Golden Age Cap is on one of those thick, rectangle stands to get him at the height for Endgame Cap, who is on the included hex stand

It really is. I have the 4, 6, 7 and customized 85 on the way(with additional BD 85 parts) and the 7 is the only one I have displayed.

Starting to regret selling my mark 7…..

But at least I got in on the exclusive of this one. Look forward to getting it next year, maybe.

Will be interesting which Armor stands the test of time most with fans. In 10 years, we'll know.

The 7 would be perfect without that barrel chest, thanks dumb pod mode
