Wow… this is tempting

Though I’ve seen In reviews how horrible of a figure he is.

Even half price that figure is terrible.

I wouldn't even pay $100 for this. Just thought it was funny it's already half off.

It’d barely be worth paying the price of the tbleague body for the set.

I can't speak for the Homelander figure, but the Butcher came out pretty well. My photos aren't the best and squished the face, but it looks way better than I expected.

Finally, I know I hadn't popped the collar yet. These were straight out of the box images.

It looks Ok, the paint work is just very flat though. Looks like a 2D animated character.

I used my phone, which takes bad pictures. The paint is surprisingly good for Star Ace.

These are with a flash.

He still looks cartoonish to me

The clothing is less accurate than the 3rd party soosoo also. The coat is too long, and the boots shouldn't be tied up at the top; it should be flared out like the soosoo.

Along with paint, it's how they sculpted his facial hair. It's like fur. Gives it that cartoony look.

Very much bargain bin butcher the beard sculpting is hideous and looks like lack luster paint.

You can't polish a turd.

Yeah, face itself is a decent sculpt, the the beard/hair detailing looks like a toy you would buy from Target. Paint is still weak too.

If the figure was $90 or something, fine i guess…..but for a premium price, it’s a big no.

We definitely have different definitions of “pretty well.” No offense to you, obviously you didn’t sculpt or paint it…but that figure looks awful…if I thought that was a picture of a NECA version of the character I would be disappointed…but a 1/6 scale figure with more than a $200 price tag…? Really with that beard???
So busy looking at the terrible sculpt and even worse paint that I almost overlooked the awful tailoring…that tight coat with the giant stitches??? How can Star Ace keep releasing things like this?
Love the show, but honestly, if this showed up on my doorstep free of charge, I still would not be able to give it valuable shelf space.

This is supposed to be fun. I like the figure, you don't. Move on.

The incessant need to tell others why they shouldn't like what they purchase on these forums gets old.

I mean you're giving your opinion and he's giving his and I can see that the points are fairly valid with the soft sculpt and basic paint application.

It is fun! And to keep it that way, I would encourage you, and anyone else posting to not take it personally.
I’m not quite ready to move on yet, I’ve got a little more to say about what a terrible job I think was done on the production of this figure…but if you find it to be upsetting there are plenty of other threads that will not be discussing this figure.
I can understand why Star Ace may have slightly hurt feelings, but other than that…the fact that someone on a thread purchased a figure should not shield the figure from criticism.
There are plenty of figures that I like that others consider to be trash…usually because they are, but for whatever reason I like them anyway.
Feel free to like what you like…I still think it looks terrible, but what difference should that make to you.
