Sly is deceptively muscular in that film. He looks bigger in behind-the-scenes photos. Having said that, I still think the figure is a bit big, but I don't mind it.

Its really his muscular definition that makes him seem bigger when really he's not in this film.

I still think the body type is wrong. He had definition for sure, but he wasn’t as bulky as the body for this figure. Otherwise it looks good overall.

Better too big than too small maybe? And conformity amongst the Threezero collection of Rambos might have its appeal. That's how I'll rationalize it when I'm too lazy to seek out and customize a more size accurate body. The figure does look really good for a casual like myself at least, and sufficiently different in the outfit from the Rambo III figure.

There must be a less muscular body out there that would work for his physique. This definitely feels like the character from the second or particularly the third film more if you ask me.

I know it’s got issues but I actually still kind of prefer the Sly Stallone Shop version of the character for the first film. Like that outfit a lot more.

I'm more in line with the M65 look. I wish the Stallone Shop one was better, or at the very least priced better. I've ordered this one because First Blood is my favorite of all the Rambo flicks. I'll probably just have him with the tarp which hides the bulk. The ammunition belt is my least favorite, but it does feel like I should have that look as well. Sounds like I'm convincing myself to buy another.

Is his knife hilt too far back on the figure, should it be more to the side of the thigh - the next belt loop forward?

I like the army green jacket look too but other than that I think this figure looks superior in about every other way, and for a more reasonable price to boot. I need to pick this one up.

Its the body that makes it look that way.
Heres mine on the jiaou body.
Clothing/boots are hot toys, dam toys m60.
Will try the threezero clothing on the jiaou body later, might just fit into the jeans, the tank tops gunna be a bit baggy😄
Slightly off topic, but would the female equivalent jiaou body (tanned) be any good for the Hot Toys Sarah Connor?

I’ve had her for years, but god is the stock body awful! The shoulder joints are hideous, and the proportions are well out.

She deserves better, a nice seamless body would do the trick - it’s just deciding on which one 🤔

Open to options folks…

I’ve used Jiaou (Wheaten) to match Endor Leia’s head sculpt.

That looks great how is the articulation on those bodies never had one?
Does it scale good next to other figures?
Is it easy to adapt the pegs for the smaller threezero ones in the boots?
I saw justin finally got on the threezero train and reviewed the rambo 3 figure.
Guy reviews everything so would be a bit fishy if he didnt.
Gave it a fair review but would not say it was better than the slyshop figure headsculpt wise 😄

Body bulk is way too big on their version compared to the threezero.
Even the headsculpts bigger🤭so glad I trusted my instincts from the start as was close to preordering before all the hype and drama.

Single bend elbows, double bend knees, reasonable ab crunch. There are cheaper bodies that would have done the job but I liked the skin tone match best on this one. Heated the boots a little and the worldbox ankle pegs went in without too much effort. Here’s a shot with one of my Terminators

If the Stallone shop version uses the same sort of bodies KP used on the Rocky figures they’ll make the Threezero look tiny in comparison

Love that collection of Stallone in his different roles. What headsculpt did you use for the John Spartan figure? It looks really great.

Thanks very much. It’s from the VTS justice judge, blue eyes unfortunately but not too noticeable on display.

Whats with that? I see star ace have shown rocky 2 pics and again blue eyes😁
Thanks for the info and pics looks spot on scale wise next to Arnie.
Yeah kp are using their own body for the rocky versions and think the slyshop version is using the same body going on the pic from justins vid side by side with the rambo 3 figure.
Your stallone collection is great btw.
