1/6 Batman: TAS figures coming from Mondo...

Well that was quick. Should be here next Weds.

Excited to get Batman in but it's a shame Joker is so far out. Will probably leave him in the box until Joker arrives.

I know what you mean. Even though I purchased the previous 2 Batman figures from Mondo, my Eaglemoss Batman statue still displays the best.



Here is Mr Freeze with the first Mondo Batman.


I am scheduled to received Redux Batman on Tuesday and am curious on how well he stacks up, although I am sure he will still be short next to Freeze.

Wed for mine as well. I wasn’t intending to pick this up but when the Joker went up for order i caved . Now I need Robin ..

I was supposed to receive my Mondo Batman Redux today but received an email from UPS today.
Tracking shows on the way from Arlington, TX and I am in NJ. Hopefully it will arrive soon.


Update: Received an email from UPS that it is now being delivered tomorrow.

It seems still a tad short. Based on the chart, the top of his head is in line with the top of Mr Freeze's helmet. Going by this photo and the previous one with Mr. Freeze, he seems at the same height without the helmet. :/ Need more photos from you guys that ordered this.

I think the height addition is not significant at all..
Also, they tampered the body to make him taller, but they don't change the arms length at all.. so the arms looks tiny and short on the new one compared to the first version.. because they are still the same shape and size but now the body is different.

Agree. We need to see more in hand pics, but it looks like they just extended the waist area. Had they added hieght to the shins, etc, they would have had to do all new limbs. Those arms are at risk of looking a little stuby (as you pointed out).

Why Mondo didn't make Batman taller than his enemies just like the concept sheet is beyond me. Why they made the enemies taller than Batman? why not make this new redux Batman slightly larger in size instead of tampering with the waist but still the same size.. I think we won't mind having a bigger Batman, as long as it's not too overly big that he's out of scale.

The arms look short and the legs too skinny, imo. Joker figure looks good tho.

Darn, this should have been an easy fix. The problem with the figure was that the knee and elbow connectors are too short, even if they replaced those and didn't alter anything else it would have been a substantial improvement.

Hmm that's not very good.

I think I'm going to go the opposite way and shorten the legs of Mr Freeze.
The proportions of BTAS Batman were accurate to my tastes on the first release, this new revision, as noted, completely screws the proportions of everything else up.
I think reducing the length of Mr Freeze's shins will work as they've always looked a little off to me. Shouldn't be too hard to accomplish with the boot line being covered by the rubbery dealies either.
They're the only two I have from this line.. I'd like Harley and Joker.. but yeah.. not jazzed of doing more mods if this scaling keeps being unreliable..

Am I the only one that thinks these Batman figures are hideous?

It’s not just the height discrepancy, but the proportions and paint job as well. That random painted swatch line on the ab section is so ugly to me.

Yep, I agree. The black variant Batman is still the best.

It still has the right proportions, and properly painted without the silly cell shade effect. Don't get me wrong, cell shade effect can be great IF done right.
The redux Batman's cell shade is better than the first dark blue Mondo Batman.

But the overall proportion ruined the whole thing.. and we all know the Bruce Timm (heavily inspired by Kevin Nowlan's design) proportion is one of the strong artistic parts of the show.

I agree that the black variant is still the best, but had to get the redux because of the head sculpts it includes since I missed out on the original exclusive version. My shipment got pushed back twice, originally to be delivered today, then Saturday, and now Monday. Damn USPS.

I wanted to grab Joker, but my Catwoman barely stands. With the price increase compared to the original Batman, I couldn't pull the trigger.

I received the new Batman today and I like him.
Yes, I would have preferred for him to be a little bit taller but it's an improvement. The added height is all in the torso so Mondo could have added height to his legs.
I have all 3 Batmen from Mondo but my all black (non-cell shaded one) is packed away in a carton.
I do like the new blue they used and the face has more of a tan to it which I prefer.
Here are a couple of quick pictures with a comparison to Mr Freeze. I would have to believe Joker (whom I have on order) will be shorter than Freeze.
