Will never get it but I would love any of these as well:

I always loved this Rob Bottin effect from 2

MAFEX is doing that version of him but that's in the 6" figure realm.

Why couldn't Hot Toys simply release an updated 2.0 version of the Alex Murphy/BD Robocop 2-pack?...
Because the Robocop 1 or 2 licenses are probably more costly, and in that two-pack, they'd also have to pay for Peter Weller's likeness.

By licensing R3, which is a less desirable property, and not using a Weller portrait, or voice (the original had a sound module inside) HT can cut corners while jacking up the price.

Makes sense but still sucks.

THIS would have been AWESOME!! Hands down would have loved this more than anything. I’m sure they could make so many improvements on that two pack. I really hope that a reissue is in the works. Especially if this one sells well.

No more rubber arm splitting? Cheap af arm sockets?
Impossible to say hence why I'm not upgrading. I'm one of those idiots who bought ED-209 2.0 thinking the worst was over and I remember it took a long time for many members here to accept that it's happening AGAIN. Judging by all the FB groups there seems to be a loooot of new collectors brought in after the last Avengers movie and I can already imagine broken sockets, tearing rubber and ruined plastic that's not helped by that Jetpack simply due to lack of awareness by how poorly constructed the Robocop figures are.

I'm honestly surprised at the price. Only $75 more than the 2015 release and it comes with a backpack and updated paint apps.

Except that they are using Weller's portrait....at least the lower half. This is the exact same figure minus the sound chip. They just added a couple of accessories.....

You are asking a lot of this figure.

I didn’t pay too much more for the Enterbay version back in the day. I regret not buying the HT version with the chair.

Not sure how to feel about this exclusive window business. On the one hand, it might make Hot Toys exclusives mean something again. On the other hand, I would've preferred an ES over FOMO as a tactic.

So far it’s been restricted to just the Summer Showcase figures. Which still feels really arbitrary.

There’ve been some good exclusive accessories (which is bad), some bad (which is good). :lol

Just seems like a half baked marketing stunt coupled with bad FOMO sales tactics. Wasn’t popular last year but they brought it back so it’s someone’s pet project.

I expected this to be 425 before shipping and taxes, so I think this is a pretty fair price considering its diecast. I put my preorder in.
