I'm sure it is good, and I'm sure it takes time and skill. $65 is just a lot of money to me, considering the figure costs $290.

That is of course, how I do it in my head.

Must be a left brain / right brain thing.

The way I look at it, if I've already spent $300 for something that doesn't make me happy, and another $65 is going to change that, I'm good. Incrementally speaking, it's a small price to pay. I don't look at it as a percentage of the base just because it's very rare in this hobby that you pay for something you're perfectly happy with. If it was a car, or other durable good, I'm right there with you.

We're all wired differently.

Yea I would say I’m in that camp too on how I see things. If I’m going to look at it and be unhappy and there’s a way to fix it, I’ll do it. But we all have our own personal budget in this hobby. I will say the times that I have spent a little more than I might have liked on a custom item, up until I receive it I might be a little uneasy, but once it arrives and it’s in the figure, I tend to forget the price I paid b/c of how good it looks on the shelf

I did that trap mod some of you mentioned, I used some foam extensions that came on the HT John Wick body (using that for a custom) I placed it on the suit rather then under it on the body (it doesn't damage the suit thankfully) and it works amazingly the neck sits lower, and the upper chest armor is push up a bit.

Eh, it’s really not that I’m unhappy with the figure. It would be nice to have a wired cape so that I can display it on the Batpod, but at $65, I’m perfectly happy not having that additional display option.

It’s really not about budgets either. I’m not rich, but $65 really is not going to hurt the bank. It is simply a lot of money for what it is.

Oh well.

Man it is hard to get this guy on the Batpod in a manner that is remotely like in the film

Yeah, absolutely not. You are limited to set it in a way that he is holding his sonar gun while standing there, otherwise it looks awkward af.

Once I get an extra body, I’m going to make the “riding the Batpod” pose work. I swear it.

These collectors got it the closest,

DX12

I just don’t know if I should use the DX12 buck as the pod rider or the DX19 buck.

Whichever one I choose is staying on it permanently so I don’t care about the damage that creates in the bends of the hip/knees.

I'd say use the Dx12 as it's an older body/ suit and won't be a big deal if it damages the good thing is you can use the Dx19 cowl on it plus a wired cape.

It could be worked so that it looks good for a picture, but really, for a daily pose on a shelf, it just looks bad. These things are not meant to be posed on these vehicles to be honest, but I’m sure some modifications are possible and yeah, that includes damaging the figure forever.

I mean, I get it. These things are not well articulated and that’s ok.

Hey, can someone make standing comparison of the dx19 and the mms342 bvs batman? Not sure if the dx19 is taller

Tanks

Is the strap piece circled in red supposed to be glued to the chest armor? Seems like it was glued at the wrong place and my chest armor is always slanted upwards on the right side. The strap piece on the left isn't glued down on mine.

No, I don’t think it’s glued in. It can tuck up into the chest armor. Pull the chest armor up a bit and futz that strap underneath it.

Thanks for the reply! I'll take another look after work. Appreciate it.
