I finally decided to cancel my order. I've spent the last few weeks trying to hype myself back up about these figures, but it wasn't working and ultimately there's just too many other things I'd rather put that $500 towards instead.

And with the potential news of more Cavil Superman in the DCEU, I'm even more inclined to wait and see what new figures we get out of that.

I think it’s been mentioned here in the boards that if you pay it off early when ordering from SS it typically (but not always) puts you at the end of the line in their system for whatever reason

I still personally see no reason to PO any main stream item these days. Only items I PO now are third party figures as there’s not a guarantee if there will be more stock once it arrives and usually the price goes up when they do get them instock.
 
Still listed as “preorder” on the Sideshow site. Not even under “Now Shipping” or “Ready to Ship”. 😭

They usually won’t change the status until they’ve shipped a good number POs first. And if they’re getting it in batches, it may very well be a long time before it’s actually listed as an instock item even if ppl are getting theirs in.

The last time this happened was with mando & the child & I think it was about 4-5 weeks after I got mine that people on here from the US started receiving theirs.
Im guessing that’s the timeframe it takes to ship to the US via HK via the boat & customs clearance.
 
Sideshow is processing my order 7/26 and I can’t wait to have a Superman in my collection. Also got to dump a ton of points on this so I’m happy with the price I’m paying

I have some PO from popcultcha because they are cheaper when you preorder and the shipping is way cheaper than sideshow even with the conversion fees. Also preordered from altegocomics when they had free shipping and no tax charged. It makes a big difference for me.

Oh I completely agree. Alter Ego is always my first choice, even if I don't PO right away. I still check there first to see if they have something in stock before I go searching somewhere else. I had a bad first (and only) order with Popcultcha, so I decided to not buy from them even when I'm tempted with their good prices :lol SS is usually a last resort unless I want an exclusive or they have good deal.

That sucks to hear about popcultcha, you should try and give them another shot. I’m straying away from sideshow because of their prices and shipping cost, but always come back with their sales and promos
 
Same, got process email from SS with 10 days to ship. I'm iffy on Superman since InArt will do it way better.. they'll probably have the blue suit, which I prefer.
