It's the Hot Toys Tron: Legacy Kevin Flynn - I'm seeing more Jeff Bridges in that new sculpt than Ewan.

Hot Toys should take a lesson from Diamond Select / Gentle Giant.

I think it's just a side effect of him using the force to pick up all those rocks. The socks get pulled up too.

I think it's the fuller beard as others have mentioned.

Companion piece to display with Hobo Luke. Really annoying that the CW Kenobi was so obviously swept under the rug in favor of this garbage but typical of Lucasfilm.

I hate it, for the reasons many have stated in this thread but also the whole vibe of the figure is garbage. Obi Wan looks like someone out of some charged-up super hero move in that daft pose with boulders flying around him. The socks alone may just make it value for money though, they’ll have real shelf presence. May just get it to display the socks alone on 2 transparent mini sock stands. The rats can have the rest.

The socks, being so popular, will likely be expensive parts to pick up.

Better to wait for the inevitable bootleg version of them.

So sad to see GG doing a better job at his likeness than Hot Toys. PERS is just bringing down the likeness so much on their sculpt. Can really tell how sunken in and hollow those eye sockets are. The headshape in general is just so off on Hot Toys.

I think the issue is with the lower half of the face.

Forehead and nose are good, everything else has to be moded.

Honestly, the entire head is garbage. Apparently, HT put their D team on this — nothing about this sculpt says “Ewan McGregor”. NOTHING. Remove it from the outfit and ask someone who it is, and I’d be surprised if anyone pics him out. This is total crap. I could almost see Jeff Bridges, as mentioned above, but that’s about it. Apparently they were looking at photos of his stunt double.

Did Sideshow just change the exclusive to be timed? I swear it wasn’t until the Vader figure went up. Maybe I just didn’t notice.

As @endor1 pointed out to me and Mike just said, the Sideshow exclusive version is now a timed exclusive.

Preordering it was on an exclusive timer to Sideshow Con registrants when it was first put up but was not on a timer after that.
