OT_Customs_,

I currently have a DX19 and a QS19 ordered - will you be selling the sculpts you made for 1/4 and 1/6 sizes? If so, and you need a deposit, count me in. I can PM if needed.
Watch my instagram this weekend is all I will say.

It’s really nice to see the cowl actually look like it can fit a human head sculpt inside it 😂

Thank you. The cowl is based on a 0.01mm accuracy professional laser scan of a rigid screen used mold master. I had this scan commissioned myself with a prop I delivered to the scanning studio by hand.

It’s legitimately screen accurate.

It’s crazy to me that this is the only version of this character that can get in a pose like this and the suit isn’t damaged at all.

Has anyone ever modified this figure to remove some of the bulkyness in the upper body to make it more screen accurate to the dark knight?

I would think the closest you could get would require shaving down the figure’s shoulders under the armor. He’s simply too broad across the top. But who knows how those shoulder pauldrons would sit once the shoulders have been shaved down. Plus, not even sure you could easily get to the figure under the fabric suit without destroying it.

Something about the way the HT stock elements work together on my fig just seem too boxy across the top to me. Just my opinion. I’ve yet to see a 1/4 figure from HT where the shoulders and arms tuck in naturally to the sides of the torso, with a realistic slope from the traps down. Their Mando figure too, just has like this brick top across the shoulders and chest.

Agreed it’s just way to broad at the shoulders. OT customs shoulder pads looks awesome but it’s the underlying hot toys figure that is too wide

I’m not going to argue with anyone.

There are many ways to fix this problem but it’s difficult. I mean you could technically make the shoulders behind the body less bulky but it can definitely break some parts of the plastic. The only thing I can think about is making a shoulder pad V2 which sits thinner on the figure. The way to remove the box shape is having the shoulder pads faced top right instead of straight down. If you look a JND and the real reference the curvature of the shoulder makes the whole upper body thinner. The bad thing is the chest of the 1/4 is already touching the shoulder pad so it can’t move more right than it already is. The only thing I can think about is making even a smaller shoulder pad that fits the curvature of the reference. I don’t know if OT customs wanted it to be perfectly on par with the reference since some Batman picks looks bulkier than others. But yeah this is a hard solution.

There's nothing to argue. A straight on photo of the 1/4 hot hot toys figure vs the photos below, the hot toys is too wide. There are photos during fight scenes in the dark knight rises where he is bulked up more that you can cherry pick. It's fact not opinion the hot toys is too bulky and wide when compared to the dark knight.

Yeah the stock Hot Toys is all out of proportion. I wasn’t talking about it. And four photos from two movies isn’t cherry picking.

🤯

I did an experiment, I cut the opening for the cape to extend it closer to the centerline of the collar and now the cape can flow up around the neck correctly.
