I thought the show was fine, Kamala was pretty likable. I don't know exactly what she could bring to the table as far as a team event with her powers. They seemed on the whole defensive and semi-lame with just letting her jump around. I didn't get any notion that she's particularly less sensitive to damage or something.

With 2 daughters in middle school, this show did exactly what it was supposed to do, get a younger audience interested in the MCU. I would not have watched it solo but watching with my kids and seeing them get excited each episode, it was something we all looked forward to weekly.

I posted the exact same earlier. My two daughters were hooked and we watched it weekly as well. They’re also huge Captain Marvel fans so we’re looking forward to seeing “The Marvels” when that hits theaters.

I actually just picked up the Deluxe Captain Marvel for my display cabinet along with Nick Fury’s pager replica. They look great together and they really nailed her sculpt!

Well, they added her “mutant” embiggening powers at the end. So her power bands won’t be her only ability. For some reason they decided to give her an outside power item, also retcon her out of being an Inhuman and now have her be the second mutant introduced in the MCU. First if you don’t include the 5 seconds of Professor X in Dr. Strange.

It was just a really dumb idea for comic fans, but I suppose the general audience won’t care or bother to understand anyway.

Ah I love it. First they retconned the scarlet witch and quicksilver to be inhumans with no connection to magneto then tried forcing the inhumans in all marvel media in the early 2010s now marvels biggest inhuman new inhuman is retconned to be a mutant and the twins are both dead which will probably make them mutants when they come back and black bolt die gruesome on screen. Yup you can tell fiege hated that stupid inhumans push .

I completely forgot the embiggen thing. I will say the mutant thing made zero sense to me, I almost hope they just drop that. I thought they gave a pretty clear explanation of her powers since she's a descendant of a djinn or whatever. It's a really poor way of introducing mutants. I'm not very familiar with the comics and Marvels, I assumed they all just had some sort of cosmic powers naturally.

Well her original creator wanted her to be a mutant, but the push for more Inhumans back then forced them to write her as an Inhuman.

Came in to say I frickin' hecka liked the show so much!!!! I reallyy liked all the characters and story, and I feel it reflects the comics well and is more than adequately adapted. Kama Khan is a joy to watch and of course I just love how she gushes about Captain Marvel! 😃😁🥰💕
