Wow, only 1400 backers for the Reva lightsaber out of the 5000 target - barely over 25%. And over nearly two months.

The much (and deservedly so) maligned Hasbro Pulse Rancor actually made it over 8500 toward the much higher 9000 target, so essentially 95%.

But we all know who and what to blame for the lack of backing for Reva's lightsaber: the fans, and as for the what - well, you know - Disney made it pretty clear that if fans didn't like Reva, they knew what was behind it.
I'd have been more inclined if there was no Reva, Reva as a background characters and/or the Grand Inquisitor and/or any of the Inquisitors had been the slightest bit menacing.

Since I like Rebels a lot, and really like the Inquisitors from that show. It depressed me that animated characters were more charismatic and radiated more menace than the live action. Impeccable voice work in the animated series. Live action was just boring.

But I'll credit Hasbro for the Razor Crest which remains awesome.

As for the Obi fig, I keep thinking of Russel Crowe. Don't think the sculpt is good enough to take the plunge.:(

HS is much less disappointing there. Some angles make it look decent but it has more of a idealized Kenobi than a McGregor Kenobi.

That’s HT in general for most of their sculpts; they idealize pretty much everyone.

True. Yet, some of their HS manage to catch the actor likeness thank to prominent facial features while on others they seem to be unable to make that magic work and lead us to believe we are looking at the actor.

What're the chances that HT releases variant versions of Kenobi with different wardrobe, and without the PERS eyes?

People in the UK will know what I’m on about.

....but here is my question: Do you guys store your figures anywhere NEAR a USB port? Any. Where. Near. 'Cause I dont.

Do you take figure beauty shots near a USB port? 'Cause I dont.

I dont see USB ports in people's Detolfs....? idk.

Perhaps I am stupid...?? or maybe I'm just old. My 1/6ths dont live near a USB port, ever. I dont want my treasured figures near hot machinery. Is this a thing the kiddos do now, this USB port thing?
USB ports are pretty commonly added to extension cables now so you can always feed a few over to your collection.

Fortunately, I’ve got 7 in total right next to my shelves as there’s an extension lead at each side of my room for all my led lights.

Didn’t realise they’d become so necessary when I first planned my setup but I’ve ordered the BTTF II DeLorean, The Batman Bat signal and now it looks like Jedis are finally getting lightsaber upgrades so the future is USB.

Not digging the face sculpt or expression at all. As others have said looks like he got stung by a bee in the upper lip.

The Episode III Kenobi likeness is fantastic... this, not so much. Easy pass for me.

I’m pretty curious as to how the LED lightsaber will work. I’m glad that Hot Toys is trying something new. Hopefully it works out and that will be the new norm for lightsaber wielding characters.

It's like Justin died and they bought his voice back as this weird AI that only picks up on the most extreme facets of the way he spoke - and just had someone else do the hands.

Over 3-4 years he's somehow evolved into a cartoon character that doesn't even sound like a real person.
That’s a perfect summation. I think he’s been replaced by Evil Robot Justin.

:lol

He has indeed devolved into a caricature of his worst cliches. It's like he read a marketing book that said people like repetition and formula and he took it to heart.

One day we'll look back and say "remember that Justin guy? I miss his reviews." And that 80's music will rattle on through your brain like a faint echo.

I just watched the first 10 seconds and got a bit of sick in my mouth.....had to turn it off.

Justin’s replies to comments on his videos annoyed me more than his fake voice. No decent person would fob people/channel supporters off like that, he’s no good. I find him totally fake/insincere and refuse to click on his videos. Even his hair annoys me.
Compare that to the respect and engagement a guy like TK421 has for his subscribers. Also the guys covering Black Series and vintage collection, the ones I subscribe to are all sound.

Justin used to review figures in the past, but now is just promoting them. I hardly remember him criticizing anything lately.
