Jaxxxon cape is very nice. A bit too much fabric IMO, but workable. There's some sections bunched up in the back of mine. I think it's actually around twice as wide as this, maybe a little more. Overall, very happy with it. Just gotta futz it more uvab2a83cj071.jpg

So I've tried looking back to see if anyone did a side by side comparison of the fat suits between this figure and original release to see the difference between them. Unfortunately I either missed it or couldn't find one.

Go to around 8 minutes in to see.

I bought a parted out Sideshow DX Luke Jedi head (from the recent release) some time ago just to check it out in-hand but didn't love the look. Recently I discovered I had enough parts left over from this HT DX set and my parts bins to make a sandstorm Luke.

The sandstorm look I like but it's always seemed a bit of a waste covering up the HT Luke head (and even face) and Jedi/barge outfit which really deserves full display.

I fitted an extra HT ROTJ hairpiece to this Sideshow DX head (you can kinda see it even with the hood up) and it improves the SSC head quite a bit - the SSC hair is not great. But the SSC head's eyes are ever so slightly "googly" so these sandstorm goggles seemed like a natural cover-up of that issue.

Looks like I have been surpassed...

I wish Hot Toys would stop using pleather - especially for boots. Those Sideshow plastic boots look much better IMO - as do sculpted belts and holsters etc.

It annoys me because sometimes they do use plastic boots, and sometimes they use pleather. They know by now that nobody likes the pleather crap.

Long shot. Anyone selling just the windswept hair piece? LOL

I have an MMS 429 and want that hair piece badly. Located in Canada FYI

I'm not sure how skilled you may be with painting, but if you are, you could buy one of the unpainted recast sculpts that come with the the windswept hair. Just paint it, add a magnet, and you should be good to go.
