That looks dumb as ****.... :lol Does Thor loose Stormbreaker too now?

I'm looking forward to the reviews on this. I have bad vibes it's TOO campy.

What has happened to the once mighty MCU? :dunno

Thor probably can’t access Stormbreaker temporarily for some reason so uses the Lighting Bolt for a short time. Looks as though Valkyrie uses the LB for a bit also.

As to how campy the film is or if it is bad, I’ll wait and see for myself.
Also about the stormbreaker concerns, he seems to duel wield with the axe and the bolt so it's probably going to be a cool big moment

The arms and body aren't as big as they should be. I honestly thought Hot Toys would make a huge deal out of a specific new body etc but nope.

Yeah, the arms on this are big but, I also expected they would be a bit larger on this version. I also hoped that he would be a bit larger overall.

As I mentioned before, I think the height of this figure scales properly with the actual height of the actor, but since Iron Man is over scaled it seems like Thor should be also …Hemsworth is considerably taller than RDJ. Not to mention that in the comics I think Thor is supposed to be like 6ft6 or 6ft7 isn’t he?

I feel his pisstaking shtick is getting old now. I've never seen the guy give a straight answer to any question.

I get that's his thing but I like movies to have some degree of seriousness and not undercut every scene with a joke.

Hemsworth clearly prefers playing Thor as a jokey character compared to stiff Shakespeare God, but come on not everything has to be ha ha funny especially when you have someone of Christian Bale's calibre in the same frame.
I really feel the stuff that we've been seeing in the marketing is really only the tip of the iceberg in this movie, and is really a bit of a misdirect, as they've been known to do. My belief is that Jane's cancer stuff from the comics is going to be front and center here, they're just not mentioning it, because Guns 'n Roses gets asses in seats; the big C, not so much.

I'm not sure why ppl care about reviews, just watch and decide if you love it or no, as simple as this sounds. I don't remember I have even seen or liked anything recommended by someone else. We have brains for a reason. Super excited for Thursday!

Well as far as Thor being a “dumb ass” that is debatable, however even looking at Norse Mythology he certainly is not an intellectual.

As I recall Thor is supposed to not really be a big thinker, he is arrogant and has a hot temper and seems to act first and think later as I remember. Which is probably one of the reasons why Loki is able to fool him so much. But many of us have let our arrogance or our temper lead us to say or do things that were stupid.

So yeah Thor is not a genius by any means so for him to be depicted in the MCU as not super bright is not a reach. However I hope they don’t make him seem like a moron in this movie either …looking forward to seeing this film.

Got back from the movie and it is a no from me.

Bore: **** and blunders galore. Ragnarok is still peak Thor and one of the best MCU films.

Yeah…this line is a pass from me. Jane Foster is the only one that will be mildly interesting from the main line.

Also, wake me when exclusive fur coat Thor arrives.

So, people generally love Ragnarok. I thought it was pretty bad but I’m surprised at the reaction I’m seeing. I can barely think of a time where people mentioned Ragnarok and said something negative.

Just got back from seeing the movie. I really liked it. I Looooved Ragnarok straight off the bat fyi.
Love and Thunder is not going to be anyone’s favourite Marvel film but like MoM it was serviceable and kept the streak of good movies going imo (I still stand by the fact that the MCU has never produced a truly below par movie for me…). I use the word good because it isn’t great, but certainly far from below average.
If you don’t like how dumb Thor has gotten or how Waititi undercuts almost every moment with a stab at humour… then you are going to be in for a world of hurt. Also the name Love and Thunder is a sneakily amazing name for the film for a number of reasons. Plus, the use of a particular song in the trailers is no coincidence.
Hemsworth is as always amazing, Korg was solid but uninspired, Valkyrie was underserved, Thompson looked uninterested I reckon… I didn’t really love what they did with Jane’s arc… But Portman was good and she looked fantastic. Bale was very menacing and really bad ass with the material he’s given (the limited material it must be said)… he looks fantastic but the reports he’s one of the best villains the MCU has seen are greatly exaggerated.
And lastly… the MCU continues to undercut all the good, emotional work they do during their films by way of a 30 second after credit scene that undoes a lot of the work the film puts in… a few cameos were fun also (including one that seemed like just a meh part that will turn in to something far bigger thanks to a far superior mid credit scene).

It sounds like I’m being overly negative… but the truth is the film looks incredible (the monochrome fight scene/part is one of the most stylistically beautiful scenes I’ve seen in the MCU). In fact the fight scenes in general are well shot and choreographed (except for perhaps the underwhelming final battle)… the movie is never dull keeping up a brisk pace. As I said overall I enjoyed it, I just know this isn’t the film that will change many peoples minds as to the MCU not being as good as it once was. Oh and there are some genuine laughs as well that aren’t undercutting the seriousness.

It’s hard to elaborate any further on what I’ve written for fear of spoiler territory.

In terms of figures though. I think we will get another Thor. Jane Foster is a given. Gorr is also pretty much guaranteed (if it wasn’t Bale then maybe not so much). Unfortunately Valkyrie has been moved to the “if we’re lucky” category after seeing it. Her costume is not great… I still can’t believe how underused she is. Korg too. Miek is in it for about 10 seconds. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a Zeus, but that’s also unlikely… I can only see 4 figures get released for certain here. Oh and Guardians fans… no chance. Vol. 3 is where you will have to head too and wait.

Most of the Marvel actors are smaller (except for Hemsworth, Colter and Bautista but still less than their comic counterparts), thus their figures are sized down. Iron Man's armor in the comics make him taller but he should still be shorter than Thor by a couple inches.

I noticed a few years back that HT upsized a lot if their DC figures, but most of the DC actors are on the bigger side in real life.

This might be the first Marvel film my gal drags me to - because I'd rather just wait until it shows up on streaming, lol.

Well... safe to say we won't get Val or Gorr...
Anyone know how I can get a custom Gorr made?
