This is the suit it is based on, known as the Concho suit. Worn primarily August 1970, so yes one of the earlier jumpsuits (He began his Vegas run in August 1969 with the exception of a short stint in 1956.) It is also featured heavily in the new ELVIS film starring Austin Butler and Tom Hanks. A more complex design like the Aloha from Hawaii suit would also result in a more expensive figure I fear.

Based on your picture the shoulders need some work. The collar needs more flair. Now that I look at it the outfit has a bit of Tonner look.

My preference if i can only have one: that 68 Comeback black leather suit and the white suit from If I can Dream...

Or... I wish they'd use 1970s Elvis costume where they got that little cape.

I think Jailhouse Rock is a good choice for the 50's era Elvis. However, they should make the Milton Berle Show version of Elvis with the microphone. That's what comes to mind when I think of 50's Elvis.

As for 70's Elvis, they should have gone with the Hawaii eagle jumpsuit version. That was probably 70's Elvis at his peak, before he started to go downhill.

exactly this :lecture :goodpost:

Not a fan of the B&W paint scheme on Jailhouse Rock, so that's a pass for me. And I don't like Vegas Elvis so I'm out altogether unless they release another version down the line.

I really quite like them both, but definitely interested in the Jailhouse Rock one. I find the monotone to be interesting and it would stand out in the collection, though I'd certainly take it in color too. Either way, I am looking forward to seeing how these turn out as I have no experience with IconiQ Studios. They grabbed my attention with this release though, so I'm off to look at their other offerings and to see what is said about them.

I like B&W but wish they also gave the option for a normal color too.

Iconiq will probably re-visit the color Elvis down the road - based on Andy's comments on a couple different podcasts about the Street Fighter line, he said they are open to re-issuing figures but only if it's different enough to justify them (I'm paraphrasing here). So perhaps a color Elvis and slap in some different accessories.

I liked collecting the I Love Lucy Funko Pops, where they had the color and B&W (exclusive to Target).
