I really hope gametoys takes a crack at this guy and his bike. I know PAK has one coming, but GT would be better all around, hell maybe even VTS could make a decent one.

With CC Reunion coming out soon(ish), I think SOLDIER grunts are almost an inevitability. Maybe Super Duck could do a costume set for a TBL body? I know they usually do girls but it seems like an opportunity too good to pass up on imo.

You know... VTS been real quiet since they got outshined in making Zack. I dunno if they are gonna continue :rotfl I hope they do, but I only want Barret from them, or a soldier grunt like you said.

They should focus on characters that GT won't do, or ones GT won't re release. Like I think they should do the Turks, or minor characters. That Zack was attrocious, but the base / helmet sculpt was high tier.

They could do some pretty amazing diorama bases.

This sort of comment seems grossly disrespectful. VTS has been providing figures for this hobby for nearly a decade now, from all sorts of properties. They do a lot more than just FF stuff.

They actually haven't been quiet at all, just making figures that you don't seem to be interested in, which is fine. But they've got more going on than just Final Fantasy.

But GT wasn't the only company making a Cloud. That's the point. Things just as easily could've wound up the other way, with the VTS figure looking way better than its prototype and the GameToys one getting the downgrade. That's why I said the people who ordered the GT one were lucky. It would be a different story if the GT Cloud was the only Cloud in production at the time, I would've ordered it, then, too, because there was no competing option, and just hoped for the best. VTS has done fantastic work in the past, I've got their Bloodborne figure, so I thought they were a pretty safe bet just based on reputation.

How many people here have pre-ordered the VTS Zack? Most people have ordered the GT one, based on the established reputation. But it's still entirely possible for the VTS one to wind up being the better one, because the promotional photos are completely meaningless and the whole thing is just a gamble.
I feel like, these days, any company is a gamble on any one figure they make. Even hot toys messes up and doesn't nail the character they are trying to protray. The newest version of vision comes to mind as the prototype looked way better than the final released version with isnt a huge upgrade from the AOU version imo. But that is just me.
These days, especially with third party unofficial or even officially licensed figures, it's a gamble as to who or what comes out as the best version. VTS Cloud isn't terrible imo, but it isn't great compared to the GameToys version. The same can be said about a certain cowboy made recently by LimToys. That turned out great but the competition was dogshit imo in comparison. It's always going to be hit or miss. Just part of the collectibles market imo.

Here is mine so far... I think I am out of space lol. Sadly the PAK Jessie looks kinda meh so doubt i will display it too.

Those arms holding up ok on GT cloud? I was hesitant about bending it about 5 degrees.

As far as deterioration? Or being able to hold the sword?
I kinda wanted him in a dynamic pose but my space there is limited. He holds it well, but I hope it doesn't break the arm lol, we'll see. I typically prefer dynamic poses, don't care for strictly museum poses to retain value. I already accept they lose value once you have em in hand lol.

I suppose both now you mention it. Mine doesn't hold the sword up very well at all. The arms just flop and get forced back until the tip is resting on the ground.

Mine holds the sword up too well, very stiff. Altho I'm displaying him with sword resting on the ground to preserve the arm material.

I know. I mean they've been quiet regarding Final Fantasy figures, which to be fair, they probably won't make any more after what GT did to 'em. They've always succeeded in militant-type figures, I'm just blatantly surprised they haven't tried at Barret yet. I don't take back what I said. Their anime styled sculpts suck. Their real people sculpts are great. That's it.

This is all I like from them. I really dig their bases for all the figures but that's about it. If they sold the bases separately I would pick a few up.
:exactly:

vts ac cloud released, china side informing buyers to pay balance.

If Gametoys wasn't around it looks like a solid enough release, but... It's a hard sell when you know there's a significantly better looking release coming.
