Left is remake / right is advent chikdren

15 years in technology makes a lot of difference in these FF7 characters and mostly are improvements. I would hope that GT a boss, please make your ADVENT CHILDREN character base on REMAKE headsculpt. Use the test and proven headsculpt (at least for Cloud). This is for my opinion. Not sure about the rest of you guys. View attachment 585678
Aww, but the AC Cloud GT sculpt looks great already. Can't imagine they'd change Tifa too much aside from her hair. But ... unfortunately I don't think any words we say here will reach GT boss. We can only observe, and hope.

That Destiny logo... man of culture or just a prisoner of the promise?
A little of both?
I fall in and out of the game. Im not near as hardcore as some people I know. I just love the lore and the game can be fun except for all the grinding ans what not.

to ensure low-profile.
(keep reissue the figure will draw unwanted attention)

to ensure quality
(the more you use molds, the quality will not be stable)
(low quantity means more quality controls)

to ensure other project can be on track.
(gt doesn't have too much mass producing capability like ht)

gt produce based on pre-order quantity. some reseller order extra. some ppl dint have money to pay balance. hence those“extra stock”on market.

since this forum is open to all,i definitely saw some leak gt picture from here to fb,Twitter etc

in order to keep it low profile like gt boss wanted,i only will post important news regarding gt figure. without too much leak picture.

zack mostly delayed, boss still not satisfy regarding the head sculpt.
Keeping it low profile, basically like LimToys and certain figures they have made and are in the pipeline.

Ok, so against my better judgment and succumbing to the FOMO, I preordered through TW because I cant find zack anywhere else.

I remember seeing them on other retailers, but life happened and I missed the windows. Totally kicking myself in the nuts for it and I won't miss anymore, that's for sure. The after market prices are just stupid high.

Curious.. how did you pre order Zack on TW if it is sold out? There is the spare body still up for pre order, but Zack himself has been sold out for a while now

I just went there and it showed open to preorder.
Fingers crossed, rabbit's foot and whatever else may help with it going through.

I need to preorder the extra body as well.

Anyone every preorder with gundamit.com?
They have the extra zack body and Tifa still for preorder. Just odd to me they only to $2usd for a preorder

Gundamit are legit but they'll quite often do prospective pre-orders way before official orders open, usually based on teaser images circulating social media. I think the small NRD is to attract interest whilst also allowing an inexpensive cancellation if the item is severely delayed or never materialises.

Yeah, I have been buying from them and Misterbadguy is correct. I also think they are a affiliated with Show.Z Store.

What!?
So for a possible re-issue of Cloud and Sephiroth it's totally dead.

I really don't understand, a lot of people want these figures, Gametoys would make a lot of money by reissuing but they totally got rid of the molds 🙄
Shoulda bought them when they had the chance :dunno. There's plenty of figures I'd like to see reissued but I snoozed and I lost :dunno.

in all fairness, I had zero interest in their Cloud until they fixed the sculpt. By that point it was too late to get him for a decent price, and interest had peaked. I now thankfully have a couple, but there's no way I would've gotten them before the fix.

Those GameToys figures sure are amazing! Can't argue with that. They just look stunning.

And I totally get that the manager wants to keep a low profile and avoid any risks.

But I keep wondering what difference a re-issue of one figure would make, if you keep releasing many other figures of the same property anyway. You know what I mean?
If – like Tosh mentioned – some company wants to keep a low profile, makes up a new brand name, releases one figure and then disappears again. I get that.
But if you want to avoid unnecessary attention from SquareEnix and you keep releasing one of their characters after the other (which is awesome btw (y), cause those characters deserve great figures! :love) what difference would a re-issue make, attention-wise... I really don't understand....

It’s basically that it’s non competitive of a company to sell a specific (relatively small) run of any one figure, whereas Square can keep selling all of their figures in mass quantities for as long as they want. Hard for them to justify going after anyone for like 500-ish of something. Like how no one gets super mad over a single chip on the ground every now and again. Someone will pick it up and then it’s gone lol

(edited for a better analogy)

In all fairness that was still a conscious decision you made. Even before the fix their Cloud was still the best one on the market.

If you wait you might miss out then have to pay aftermarket prices based on demand, that's just how collectibles work. There's always someone that didn't get one, they can't just keep reissuing.

Yeah, i think its more about gray area mind games.
Square Enix is not gonna step in when some chinese third party companies are selling products limited to 200, 400, 700 pieces.
There is a very specific reason why all of this unlicensed third party stuff is always limited to these numbers,
probably because thats the fine line between 'garage kit' production and professional mass production.
So when GT only makes lets say 500 FF7R Clouds, they are kind of gambling
that these numbers arent worth it for Square Enix to step in. But this could change if they are re leasing the figure again again
because then suddenly we are talking about maybe 2000 Clouds.
And then they are re releasing Sephiroth and suddenly GT didnt release 500 Sephiroths but 2000-3000. I guess thats the difference.
So they are moving on to the next project and the next project and the next project,
producing enough to make some money but not enough to actually get interrupted by Square Enix.

I understand the destruction of the molds to prevent others from making duplicates but what stops them from making molds out of the figures themselves? Of course theres going to be a lot of discrepancies and imperfections if they go that route but I can see it happening in the future, eventually.

Not to mention, by re-issuing a figure that is now deemed 'rare', it loses value. I would love if collectors who missed out on Cloud could get him, but I'd also be upset that they've decided to re-issue a figure I had to pay 200% markup on to receive. (Because I also did not like the prototype, granted it was and still is the best 1/6 Cloud on the market)

Live and let learn. Won't be missing a single PO from now on, I'm sure others can relate. :lol
