Fantastically done McHaley. I only offer it because you've clearly put some effort into him; just needs the yellow shin tool and to loose the cape and braids and he's perfect.:clap
Yep…I thought about that. I have plenty of extra shin tools to test it on. Trying to balance it out. I could also paint the wrist rocket blue/grey, etc. Undecided.
taking the cape and braids off is easy. I’ve also got the ESB holster on his sash belt…just cause I like it.

Nice. He looks great as is though. Wish I hadn't seen it because I somehow hadn't thought of painting the crotch plate and now I'm tempted :lol

I feel like the first thing everyone does when they get this guy though is tilt the rangefinder down. Feels almost required.

Awesome work McHaley. There were so many odd little choices on the HT vintage Fett figure (why not make the waist sash brown like the belt, or do the viewfinder fully in blue-grey at least to match he Kenner fig?) I didn't grab it. But in looking at yours I've realized I have enough Fett parts to just paint it up as a Kenner Fett myself. There are so many mods I wouldn't have done on the HT fig due to it being so pricey now.

Awesome photos, McHaleyArt. Wow!! So crisp and clear. I love the way you’ve posed him. So far, he is my only Boba Fett; I just recently acquired him. I love the vintage color variation which I think is my fave of all of them. However, now that he’s here I‘m a bit obsessed and I think I need to find the ESB version and the Animation version. Sigh.

Yup! Fett is an addiction.

I have to tell people the ESB is my favorite to keep up appearances* but secretly the Holiday Special version is my favorite Fett figure.

Ah damn it looks like they're after me now.

*ESB is also a favorite but the Animation is beautiful and just really stands out in its own unique way.

passed up Vintage Fett when it was released because it was a simple repaint and was not worth the price. But since his release, the figure has grown on me and was able to get one for slightly less than retail. Overall, Vintage Fett is one unique cool figure and happy to add him to my 1/6 scale Fett collection.

But I do have a few minor issues. Would have been nice if the red missile was removable, or maybe spring loaded to shoot, but that's would have been a hazardous problem.
Lastly, I wish HT included a vintage style blaster, like what Sideshow did with their exclusive figures. If one doesn't know, some Sideshow Exclusive figures included vintage style blasters, a refence to specific blasters included with specific vintage Star Wars figures.

The only mod I did was make a custom vintage style E-11 blaster. I used a E-11 blaster by Marmit for the base and used styrene pieces for the details.
For reference, I used pictures of a vintage blaster from 12" IG-88. The vintage IG-88 blaster is about $250, reason I made my own. But if anybody knows if a company makes affordable repos, lmk.

LCS has this guy for $300. Worth it? Thoughts?

Cool figure if you want it, though I wouldn’t pick it up just because it’s available for a decent price. Did you pass on it the first time? Same reasons still apply, right.

There’s so many figures out there.

Only Fett I’ve skipped so far personally. Didn’t want to go for something “out of universe” so to speak. Maybe also in protest when they reslly should’ve done the proto armor instead for the ESB anniversary.

I think that the price was right. I have seen them go for more, but you’re right, I skipped the first time with no regrets. I’m a huge Boba fan but I’m ok not owning this one. Thanks for talking me off the edge lol!
