Just wait for the, hopefully inevetible, 2.0 version. The original version does not look like the actress. I have a feeling that Asmus wants to remake this one. I know I would buy one. It’s almost a sure bet that a desire for a better figure will rise, once Kili is announced, if they ever get to any of the other dwarves.

I really hope so, favorite character from a mediocre trilogy.

I don't think there's much chance of them revisiting Tauriel, unfortunately. The Hobbit figures - particularly Tauriel and Bard - did not sell well at all. (Though hopefully Bilbo an Thorin are turning that trend around.) Tauriel and Bard hung around on a lot of sites for a long time and were eventually discounted pretty steeply. Which is a pity, because I think Bard is actually one of their best likenesses.

Yeah i dont get why they would revisit such a lower level character. There are so many unreleased characters from much better LOTR films, doint a second version of her would surely generate minimal interest.

Never had an interest in Bard, but I wanted Tauriel. Well, at least until images started coming out. Her headsculpt was awful.

I would certainly buy her if they made a 2.0, and that’s assuming they never even make a Kili. I’m one of the few who actually liked the whole romance subplot.

I have to imagine there’s going to some customizing once Hot Toys’s “Wasp” figure comes out and people get a hold of that Evangeline Lily headsculpt! ;)

While I too would love a Tauriel 2.0, they've previously stated (when I asked) it was unlikely given that based on their numbers, Hobbit items don't sell well.
Which is stupid, honestly. They’ve made 5 Hobbit figures, and Bilbo and Thorin recently sold out. And Thranduil is getting a rerelease. They released all The Hobbit figures around the same time 6 years ago and not many probably had the money to spend on them all at once. Hobbit merch sells, Weta’s stuff shows that (different company and product, sure, but some on here act like no one wants Hobbit merchandise). Even aftermarket prices for Hobbit merch like some of the Bridge Direct figures is high as hell. The 6 inch Azog goes for like $100+.

Very true. If they spread out Hobbit releases - maybe one per year - I think they'd sell quite well. Especially if they execute them at the level of Thorin, Young Bilbo and Thranduil. (And Bard, too. Even though he didn't sell well, I still think that's a very solid figure with an excellent sculpt.) I think some more Dwarves and maybe Azog and Bolg would sell well.

^ Yep, those were all excellent figures. If they just released one every year even if just in a limited run) that would be OK...seems there are a fair few of us who want more Hobbit figures, it's just a shame Asmus are reluctant to make them which is a real pity as their dwarf figures are excellent IMO and some of the best in the line. The figure I really want from the Hobbit is Balin. Hoping they might reconsider, fingers crossed. 🤞

Agreed! Some more dwarves would be great. I'd also love a Mirkwood palace guard, and Alfrid Lickspittle is a must - ok that last one was a big fat whopper! :lol

I could see Dwalin, Balin, Kili and Fili being viable for the Dwarves. Azog and maybe Bolg for baddies. A couple of Elf warriors/palace guards would probably sell fairly well. Any deeper though, we'd probably see sales drop off. Maaaaaybe a Legolas in armor? Thranduil 2.0 is supposedly in the works. I'd be in for a Tauriel 2.0, but it seems unlikely. Maybe a head upgrade?
