I wouldn't mind the brim being a little wider. A little, Asta. :)

You're in luck, sir.

We have three hats in your size range...

I could see that smirk and a lowered mouth for the clone wars look like the duros is supposed to be.

Just a mock-up but you can see the potential.
Exactly. Seems they really want to cut costs where they can.on CGI mods (Young Anakin as well).

Considering what CGI people can do at home these days it can't be as expensive as it used to be.

I'm just really surprised Filoni would allow such a big difference to what these aliens look like considering their attention to detail for many other things

Actually, I don't mind much about costume issues like the costume in X show was much better (or inconsistencies to some degree). Maybe Bane changed his style or Vader had one helmet with tusks angled more downwards. It's a wearable thing and I can always imagine that the character changed it, washed it, repaired it, etc.
But when it comes to body or facial features which can not be changed by the character (like the length of the lekku, placement of the mouth, etc), these wrong iterations bother me.

Of note, these comments are not for HT(mostly), but showrunners.

I prefer the live action version of Cad Bane. He was an extremely formidable villain in the cartoons, but he was never quite so menacing or creepy as the live action version. This version looks like a strange old man monster baby that was brought back from the dead. He’s sort of a twisted abomination. The eyes are oversized, cute, and baby-like, then you have the weird mouth with too many sharp teeth, and then the old man voice. For me, it’s the stuff of nightmares.

And I could care less about the effing hat.

Nothing wrong with the hat. It’s accurate to the show. The significance of the wider brimmed hat seemed to have more of an Asian influence and not just an alien in a space cowboy outfit. It was a nice mixture of east meets west which Star Wars has always been known for. This new hat is ok but seems to erase some of that original Asian influence for a more western esthetic.

I like both versions and it would be nice to have both but it’s fine the way it is.
