Yep count me in for a bigger hat if someone does one !! It just looks out of proportion to me.

If anyone see's someone doing a run for a larger hat please let us know here. I'll of course do the same.
 
It's actually a real pity Hot Toys didn't add a second larger Clone Wars hat and charged $10-15 more. Maybe it wouldn't fit in the box ??

Or maybe they're just saving it for an actual Clone Wars version. They also many not have been allowed, not every decision is theirs to make.

I believe hot toys has only made clone wars figures from the final, Disney season. Pretty sure Cad isn’t seen until Bad Batch after season 4 or so.

I’d expect a Bad Batch Cad if anything. And that outfit was pretty terrible. Hopefully in the new season, he goes back to his earlier clone wars look and everyone’s happy.

Their Anakin is from Season 1 & 2.
 
Seriously..I’m betting people are going to give his outfit a dark wash if HT doesn’t fix the colors by final product
 
Secret Base lighting is like having a massive bright white spotlight on the figures. The color grading on the show is pretty muted.

The proto is pretty close to the show based on their promo photos; just a little less desaturated. The coat is fine and the shirt could use a bit of dust, but I don't think most people are going to tank the value of their expensive Cad Bane figures by dunking the outfit in paint or wash.

Agreed. I never use lightsaber blades on display for that reason. Plastic effects generally look unconvincing and the realism takes a hit.

Hmmm..could of swore he looked darker on the show ..I guess HT nailed it after all

Combination of the show's desaturated look and the lighting being intentionally very dark on Cad Bane even though he's mostly shot outside. I would say to help with the CGI work on his face. Better than making his scenes set at night, but it consequently makes him look a lot darker in the show than the actual costume design and props.

Hot Toys would've had references those though so I think they got very close to how he was intended to look.
 
Hot Toys iteration is near perfect, but live action design was not.
The mouth should have been located lower and the nose bulge should have been flatter. It just looks like there's edema there. However, it can be considered perfect after seeing the Grand Inquisitor :D

Shows and movies have colour grading and other effects added in post. What you see on screen isn’t necessarily accurate to what’s on set.

Sometimes this bothers me, like with OG Mando his armour looks more red than brown sometimes and I kinda prefer that.

Yeah the eyes definitely should be slightly bigger especially on the neutral expression. First thing you notice when he looks up in the show are those piercing big red eyes.
 
I think his face was a practical effect the actor wore, the only part of the Gallery episode I listened to. John Rosengrant from Legacy Effects chats about it, shows the face piece.
