Pattinson Batman hit his head on a bridge at virtually full speed from his flying suit scene and simply got up and walked away with a slight limp - and everybody seems to regard that film as a masterpiece? ;)
TDK Batman free fall from a high rise with horse face DA and landed on vehicle at 125mph with not even back pain just a smile and a coke.

TDK hailed as the masterpiece to beat.

He wouldn't have ejected at Mach 10, because once the plane malfunctioned it would have slowed down.
I can't remember idlf we actually see him ejecting? If we don't, who knows what speed he ejected at.

I really need to go see it again!

Paramount didn’t want Eddie Murphy for BHC they wanted Stallone because blacks couldn’t open a movie above 25 million!

Oops lol

Tickets were $3 dollars when BHC came out and it remained highest grossing R movie until The Hangover.

Last weekend TGM fell less than $2 million short of overtaking the debut of Elvis for the #1 spot again. This weekend it's #2 to the new Minions while JWD continues to drop further and further in the Top 10 despite coming out two weeks later than TGM.

Only a 13.7% drop from last weekend and that's not even tallying the 4th of July itself.

$564 million domestic and counting, $1.1 billion worldwide. Suck it China nobody needs you (except Avatar, lol). :yess:

While family and friends were at the beach (I hate traffic I hate sand ) I went to TG for my 2nd viewing today :yess:

Well after a second viewing (and still in a Dolby Laser/Atmos auditorium!!) I can officially declare that we have another ESB/ALIENS. :thud:

Pretty much a straight 10 across the board and it just reminds me of everything I love about watching great films and I don't know that I could imagine a better movie to revisit on the 4th.

My Bat-freak son who loved TB just pronounced TGM superior.

FWIW I watched the original for the first time ever (that I can remember) and it confirmed my suspicions that it's not that great. Not much of a plot. I never bothered seeing it back in the day. Mainly a (very fast) vehicle for Cruise and the soundtrack.

And what a glorious soundtrack and score it is!

Yes, I was obviously familiar with the songs but Faltermeyer's score was a revelation.
It's a travesty that the score has never been released.
At least with TGM, the soundtrack is mostly a score.
I'm still waiting to get an official version of the synth Top Gun anthem from the start of the movie.
