While family and friends were at the beach (I hate traffic I hate sand ) I went to TG for my 2nd viewing todayLast weekend TGM fell less than $2 million short of overtaking the debut of Elvis for the #1 spot again. This weekend it's #2 to the new Minions while JWD continues to drop further and further in the Top 10 despite coming out two weeks later than TGM.
Only a 13.7% drop from last weekend and that's not even tallying the 4th of July itself.
$564 million domestic and counting, $1.1 billion worldwide. Suck it China nobody needs you (except Avatar, lol).

FWIW I watched the original for the first time ever (that I can remember) and it confirmed my suspicions that it's not that great. Not much of a plot. I never bothered seeing it back in the day. Mainly a (very fast) vehicle for Cruise and the soundtrack.
It's a travesty that the score has never been released.
