Best Boba Fett suit, but the lack of head sculpt is lame.

This is his best look. Better than even the ot suit. I wil get this. I really want the throne too but I am not going to buy to Boba Fett to get it.

As i had some free time, i checked Hot Toys site to scrutinize all three "post ROTJ" versions. In the end, it appears this latest version has more to offer than expected.

The new design really does blow the Mando repaint version out of the water.

I am by no means an expert like the guys that cosplay and build their own suits, but I am pretty observant when it comes to Fett variations.

I absolutely loved the slight differences between the weathered re-armored look when he first got his armor back compared to the repaint look when he took some time to clean it and get it the way he wanted it.

One big difference is the belt. The weathered look has the belt with all the cartridges on it, and his clean look his belt has pockets and pouches.

BUT....there's one scene....ONE SCENE! in Mandalorian S2E7 where he's piloting the Slave 1 and we briefly see the cartridges on his belt. ARGH, that drove me nuts!! I know it's probably just some error due to a reshoot or something but that's the kind of thing that makes completely obsessive people lose sleep.

Then there's the BOBF look where the belt is half cartridges and half pouches, but I honestly don't like the look at all, so I'll pass on it. The pants just look too tight and constrictive to me. I like the big flowy pants. Looks so much more comfortable with room to move and breathe.

Honestly, I think all three of his looks from Post-Sarlacc to BoBF compliment each other and present a nice progression. I still prefer the Mando re-paint look slightly over the BoBF, but both are pretty stellar. Now, why they didn't use the ROTJ helmet, gauntlets and armor in Mando Season 2 and went with modifications (thicker armor and gauntlets and a smaller helmet/smaller dent, etc.) is annoying. In my head canon since this stuff is Beskar, it should all have lineage back to the ESB helmet but even that was blown in 1983...so I guess I'll just continue to collect and forgive

Film sucks but the figure itself is fire, love the design.

Looks really good. Now the tough decision between this and the repaint version

i cant wrap my head around how hot toys nails the proportions / “guy in a suit” look so perfectly. is it the tailoring? dimensions of each figure? idk but it’s so impressive. i’m definitely more conscious of that aspect lately after seeing how good jango looks in person.

this could literally be a promo pic for the show and most people wouldn’t realize it’s a figure:

i know im getting on a tangent here but I’m just grateful that collectibles of this quality even exist right now.

still pretty frustrated by the lack of headsculpt / deluxe though. I was hoping this would be the definitive disney boba when they got around to releasing it, going to have to debate between this and the throne version.

The visor looks really different to the previous ones,not as narrow as the old style. Have to look it up,if it’s screen accurate. But I really like the look overall.

If it wasn’t for how cool the throne is, I’d say the way to go is this release and two pack. Unfortunately I am a sucker and will probably get them all.

But this deluge of Bobas is the perfect example of why it is no longer good to preorder Hot Toys. The production schedule is too far out and, as someone else already cynically pointed out, there’s probably a large chance of yet another Boba going up for preorder before this is ever delivered. The question for me isn’t if this is a big enough deviation from what’s already been shown. I have to ask if it is a big enough deviation from what’s next to be shown.

They must be saving the greased up version for the Black Krrsantan Deluxe two pack...

Gosh darn it, I thought this would be a guaranteed pass as I’ve Po’d the dlx and throne version but this looks so much better!! Do I really need every single iteration of the Fettmeister?! It looks that way.

I’ll hold off for a couple weeks to see if InArt announce their Battinson but, if I’m not spending too much money this month, I’ll probably end up getting this.

But first things first; Cad Bane must be bought immediately!

I just received my Mando Deluxe version and have the throne version on order as well (to pair with Fennec), so this feels redundant to me. But I'm happy for those who have been waiting for this one.

I cancelled my throne version some time ago for other reasons and I think I will skip it now and wait for this bad boy

So between the new figure and the Throne Boba, the main differences are:

• The armor is less battle damaged. Throne version has a more rough texture, while the new one is smooth. The green paint looks a little darker.
• The belt. Throne boba has a woven belt/different pouches.
• The pants. Throne boba is more baggy loose fitting. New pants are more form fitting, ribbed at the knees.
• Throne boba has a long sash. New boba has a hip skirt thing.
• The boots. Black gaiters vs redish brown
• Jet pack has different paint scheme.
• New flame sculpt for the flame thrower.
• Gaffe stick
• No throne
• No head sculpt
• Sand base

I'm having a hard time justifying this purchase...and it's really easy for me to just say "yes" to essentially anything Star wars Hot toys

Just noticed too, the backpack is different on the BOBF vs the 2 Mando versions. Looks like he did more repairs as the center is different.

It's always been no contest for me: I prefer 'desert wear' Boba to 'business wear' Boba.
