***PAINT/SCULPT UPDATE*** MMPR-02/02DXS/02UTS CITY HUNTER PREDATOR (PREDATOR 2)
In the never-ending pursuit of accuracy and perfection, we at Prime 1 Studio labor to make each and every statue we make for you, the very best, definitive version of your beloved characters.

It is this stringent adherence to quality that we issue today’s update for the CITY HUNTER PREDATOR!
Our artists at Prime 1 Studio have improved two things with City Hunter:

Sculpt Update: We have adjusted the right arm gauntlet to accommodate the Yautja Ship Remote Slot.

Paint Update: We have improved the paint applications under the chin and on the rear of the mask towards the neck. It is a much-improved metallic rendering.

We hope that our loyal fans will appreciate the dedication and passion we pour into each of our creations.
As always, thank you for your support and loyalty!

After the Warrior Alien sat on the website with the wrong (diagonal) dimensions for two years, I wouldn't be surprised if there's a disconnect between Prime 1's marketing department and their art department. Here they've clearly added the five holes under the mask that weren't there before (and people were very much asking for), but they're calling it a "paint update" for the metallic effect and making no mention of the holes. Do the folks publishing this stuff even know what the other teams are up to?

I wouldn't be surprised.

But then I also think there is a disconnect between their ears when it comes to pricing :naughty

it's not "the jajuja ship remote slot", it's a slot for shooting those "darts". or probably "dart", as it was never shot twice.

supports the idea that sculptors and describers don't talk to each other.

If the base were cooler, I'd be interested. Completely kills the piece for me.

I don't like the base or the pose on this, even more so when you view it next to the insanely detail rich JH that this is apparently meant to mirror, so I'm not even tempted (Happily I guess) However, those who do like it should probably be reassured by just how good the JH turned out. Although that said, they made a big deal about the JH being a passion project that they wanted to absolutely get right. The head of the company making big claims about it personally and with constant updates for months after its reveal. This City Hunter didn't receive any of that kind of love from them sadly, During design and after imo. It seems to have just been forgotten about. I am however tempted by the bust, if they did a masked option, or at least the current bust with a masked option, I'd probably bite.

Ditto.

It's strange how things turn out - I'm not tempted by their 1:2.5 Jungle Hunter (cos "Cinemaquette" etc. etc.), but if they had done a decent job of the 1:2.5 City Hunter, I'd have ordered that (since I don't have one at that scale and the wee fella is my fave Pred design).

The stuff we were coming up with before sounded way better. A street/alleyway diorama base, maybe with some translucent clear puddles, and some trash littered here and there. That would be so much more aesthetically pleasing than what we got.

So cool props just lowered the price on their lifesize Robocop by $500, and refunded existing customers due to production costs lowering again. I don't expect Prime 1 do do the same, but they might have to consider it with this one. Not many people seem to be biting. Personally I'd rather they improved it, but...
