The more the merrier. I'd love some Jack Napier, Vicky Vale and Michael Gough Alfred Pennyworth merchandise. Definitely agree that we need more Batman Returns merchandise, though. Especially a 1/6 Penguin.

Yeah it’s amazing. The base, sculpt and texture look really awesome.
It’s not in silicone like the Deno Nuovo so it’s a good point personally.
But that price… here in Europe it’s almost 1K delivered…
I’ll stick with my HCG, less accurate concerning the texture but was much cheaper.

Any idea what shipping would cost from the Pure Arts Canada warehouse to the US? I am interested in the exclusive with batarang but I'm afraid international shipping could cost $150+ when it's time to ship. Definitely not worth it for the extra piece.

The more I look at this Purearts cowl, the more I’m questioning about the texture. Did they push the effect too far?
It is over textured everywhere on the face and the cowl seems made in the same material than the cape. Looks like a leather cowl on certains angles.
I mean we lost the rubber effect IMO.
Maybe they scanned an old and damaged prop which maybe explain that?

On the original prop, the shoulders and collar are textured but the nose, face and top not so much.

Even if it’s not based on a 3D scan, the Denuo novo is maybe what is closer of the real prop.

Anyway, the Purearts is still a beautiful cowl. Expensive but cool.

EDIT:

Ok it seems that Purearts took a lot of liberties concerning the texture but also the sculpt.
While they cleaned the scan they modified the sculpt on the lines, eyes, brows and top of the skull.
It rather a symmetrical, idealized hybrid 89/Returns rather than true 89 replica.
It is particularly striking on this angle compared to the Denuo above:

Makes me think a lot to the Returns cowl

So still a beautiful piece but not completely accurate.
Denuo Novo is the winner in terms of accuracy IMO but is maybe not as durable.

It’s a matter of choice.
;)

I respectfully have to disagree.
The denuo novo looks more like the returns cowl than purearts.
The denuo has the smoother finish and they have sharpened the lines of the cowl making it look more like the returns version than the 89.

Purearts has the texture and roughness that was in the 89 suit before the more stylised machined look of the returns version.

Denuo seems to be a mash between the two

Personally, I’m convinced that the original prop wasn’t so textured on the face, skull and scallops. On the shoulders and collar yes.
And in the sculpt, I can’t completely read 89. But it’s my opinion.
Yeah no worries, it’s interesting, everyone got different feelings about it. ;)
But don’t get me wrong. It’s a beautiful cowl.

I know what you mean. I keep looking at this but at the price point it’s at it has to be perfect and in my eyes this is close but not close enough for me
