Mondo 1/6 Scale He-man and The Masters of the Universe figures

It has the boot knife, which the original release didn't have. Guessing this is the deluxe release that was shown last year.

Not big on the toyish bodies they're using, but this is definitely a step in the right direction. Feels more like He-Man and the mixed media is a nice touch as well.

Looks great with the multiple looks, especially the classic. With a Battle Cat on the way, this is very tempting.

I guess I’m not getting it. A 24 hour pre-order window is dumb.

Wonder if that was Funko’s idea.

The "24-Hour Open Pre-Order" window is hands down better than the "5-Minutes online then sold-out due to scalpers that already have them listed on eBay" window.

I’m not familiar with how Mondo usually does their figures I guess. I know their prints/posters are mostly that way which was irritating as crap.

I thought I’ve seen some of their other figures available to pre-order for a while at places like BBTS. To me the 24 hour window is just silly. I don’t like having to make a decision in such a short span. That seems like it’s just getting people to make snap decisions which I don’t like.

I guess it’s whatever. I don’t necessarily need the figure for my collection but was just considering it.

I'd have thought He-Man would have warranted a normal release out of all of the MotU characters.

I still haven't decided if I am getting it yet as I'm not the biggest MotU fan, but a 1/6 scale He-Man and Battle Cate would be ace.

I'm surprised no one (that I know of) has done a fully cartoon accurate figure like NECA has done with TMNT.

Why not sell as much as they can? 24 hrs isn't a lot of time.

I am one of these guys that MIGHT buy it, but I am not going to mark it on my calendar and will probably forget on the 21st.

I am probably not smart enough to figure out the biz strategy, but as a regular guy, I just do not understand why limit it to one day?

Wow. That actually looks really good. Might have to reconsider this line.

It seems most of the other figures on the Mondo site have an exclusive version and a standard version, so hopefully you're right.

Their last couple MOTU exclusive figures sold out in minutes. (Most likely to scalpers.) So if this is just the exclusive as a timed/open to all release, but not batch size limited then this is much improved over their normal tactics. Mondo thrives on FOMO and 'drops' (for their posters/albums) and it's anti-consumer. Especially relevant to MOTU when their exclusives have had better head sculpts (Faker) or key accessories (Hordak).

Yeah, there's very little Filmation stuff out there, I do like the Iron Studios stuff though. I keep meaning to do something with these 2 sculpts, maybe a 1/6 statue?

Not the best pic, as I had to crop and square it up for IG, but finally set my mondos up in my new pad, with the new Hordak.
